What were some of the neat slang words and phrases of the past that you wouldn't find today's kids using?

"Groovy!"
"23 Skidoo!"
"Hubba Hubba!"
"Way Out!"
"Rooty Toot Toot!"
"The Cat's Meow!"
"Daddio!"
"Swingin'!"
"Put me in orbit!"

"Groovy!"
Lol, whenever I hear "groovy", I think of Cousin Serena from Bewitched.

I use that from time to time myself, but then again, I always did claim I was born in the wrong decade.

"Hubba Hubba!"
A lot of people still use that one.
Xerus said:
"Way Out!"
Isn't "far out"?
Xerus said:
"Rooty Toot Toot!"
Never heard that one before.
Xerus said:
"The Cat's Meow!"
Yeah, I never hear that one anymore.
Xerus said:
"Daddio!"
Actually, I call my dad that quite a bit.
Xerus said:
"Swingin'!"
The only time I've heard "swingin'" was from Eustace's favorite rock star on Courage the Cowardly Dog.
Xerus said:
"Put me in orbit!"
Heard that one on M*A*S*H.

Here's one for you: "keen!" I know a guy who told me "wow, nobody says 'keen' anymore" after I said it.

Well, I still use "cool," "groovy," and "totally" all the time, and occasionally "keen". I also sometimes call people, mostly on here, "man" or "dude", which is a habit I picked up from Ryan (The Prawncracker).

Excellent! Hehe

Watch nearly any 1930s film, you will hear the word "swell" more times than you will ever want to again! lol That and also the phrase "And how!"

Btw, I love '30s films. And you know Scooter talks a lot like the people in those old movies.
