It'd be nice if he made a comeback, it's really sad, though, that he had to retire from showbusiness to raise his children since his wife died at a young age.

I said this in another thread, but you should check out his pseudo-country music album, The Agoraphobic Cowboy. It's really wonderful.

Also, I'm fairly certain that there won't be a Sanford and Son movie released this year, as by now we'd have heard of it, not just found it listed on IMDb with no information to speak of.

He still does soem stuff, though.. check out his website.. there was a great parody of John Mellencamp's "Our Country" (the song from the Chevy commercials) playing on there a while back called "America, My Truck"

as for the Sanford and Son movie, that might be the worst idea ever.. I mean, there've been some awful remakes of old T.V. shows into movies, but unless Redd Foxx crawls out of his grave (or urn or whatever), this might top them all :grouchy:

I think it's high time we get a I Love Lucy movie in the mix too! A two hour "why did they make this movie because it's ruining the show" feast.

According to IMDb, a CHiPs movie is also in the works.

I'm gonna call it now - Ice Cube, Bernie Mac and Cedric the Entertainer will play Baker, Ponch and Getraer, and there will be no less than forty "Chocolate CHiPs" jokes.

I don't understand this "adapting classic TV shows into movies for the new generation" thing at all. Why do they need to do this?

The dude who played Fez on That 70s Show is (or was) supposed to play Ponch.
