And Let It Be. I have never seen Let It Be, save for some of the clips from the Anthology. And while we're at it, how about Richard Lester's How I Won the War, with Michael Crawford and John Lennon?

Tiny Toon Adventures. WHY NOT? Ugh, it makes me mad... .

because Warner brothers is run by a bunch of out of touch idiots that thinkl that the Looney Tunes had to be hipped up with Junk like Loonatics unleashed, though they did a great job of hipping them up with Duck Dodgers, which is another show they won't put on DVD.

SO far they have failed to put Duck Dodgers, Tiny Toons, and Freakazoid on DVD, dispite the fact lots and lots of people want them. Meanwhile, I see Loonatics Season 1 gather dust.

Other than that, I'd love to see American releases of
Kinnikuman (including Ultimate Muscle)
Doraemon
One Piece Uncut (coming soon... but not soon enough)
Crayon Shin-chan with Japanese Dialogue (the American Dialogue is just unfunny)

But that said, I'm still waiting for 1960's Batman, which is stuck in copyright Limbo no thanks to Warners and Fox.

But ironically most of what I was looking for, Inspector Gadget, Darkwing Duck... has been released. I want them to release MORE Gadget, but apparently not enough people bought it. Which is BS. Do they really expect people to buy Sonic Underground?

So What I'm looking for is

Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (Which they should release by the time they make Toy Story 3)
Bump in the Night in season sets (Or one series set)
The Rest of Bullwinkle
George of the Jungle (There are rumors of this, and it could either be the old series or an upcoming new cartoon show)
Donkey Kong Country
Eek The Cat (no thanks to Disney, copyright limbo again)
Perfect Strangers
The Real Ghostbusters in season sets (3 disks with 12 combined episodes is not enough)
The Rest of Toxic Crusaders
And the obvious muppet stuff.

In October Warner Bros. is releasing Volume 5 of their vintage Looney Tunes collection, with 60 cartoons on four discs, plus lots of extras, including a documentary on Chuck Jones, and several Looney Tunes specials from the 1970s. Plus, the set will include rare WWII cartoons, including a look at the Private Snafu character.

Disc 1 - The Best of Bugs & Daffy
Disc 2 - Looney Tunes Fairy Tales
Disc 3 - The Best of Bob Clampett
Disc 4 - Early Looney Tunes

Each disc contains extra material, with commentaries on certain cartoons. Some of the 'toons included in this set are "Ali Baba Bunny," "A Star Is Bored," "Hollywood Daffy," "The Trial of Mr. Wolf," "Scrap Happy Daffy," "Hare Ribbin'" (uncut) and one of my all-time favorites, "The Daffy Doc."

I too am waiting for the Adam West Batman series.

This stuff is for collectors. they actually think kids want to watch half butted fakey made in America Japanese style cartoons.

I guess pulling one or two plot devices from that 5 minutes you saw of Dragon ball Z made someone an expert.

Anyway, I want to 2003 Duck Dodgers series due to the fact I did not have cable, and I've been watching it via Youtube lately.

But I am furious at WB. live action shows on Cartoon Network (something I'll get into another thread), horrible cartoons on said network, horrible, horrible Saturday morning programming, and a terrible little network on TV. I used to love them, but they're making decisions lately that make me want to wear Mickey Mouse ears, and pledge my allegiance to Disney, if I didn't hate them as well.'


Don't get me wrong, I love how they put Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain on DVD... but "Wait till your father gets home" before Secret Squirrel? Wha ha what?

Forrest Gump? Its really hard to do any reasonably realistic portrayal of the Vietnam war without getting a hard R, much less a "soft" R. But actually, the new film "Rescue Dawn" is supposed to be pretty good, and it is rated PG-13 according to Yahoo movies. Don't know if any of the awesome "Missing in Action" movies are less than R, but you could catch them on cable and they would be.

On a further move off-subject stemming from this, I really don't buy into the whole ratings system anyway. Its antiquated, based on a questionable system of what is "moral" or "acceptable" and what isn't, which is determined by a small group of individuals that are held relatively unaccountable for their decisions. And from what I understand, Hollywood politics play a strong factor in influencing decisions as to how a movie will be rated. But, we gotta have ratings I guess, or Tipper Gore will start appearing on the news, and that is unacceptable.

You know, this reminds me of something I saw on Foster's home for Imaginary friends.... The boy and Bloo were alone in the house and they said they could watch the special tapes marked "Adults Only." And it was a boring British Drama about a women who loved her garden.

I mean, I don't want to get into the porn/art debate. But it seems that vicious gory "Saw" type violence is more acceptable than sex, when I think it's far more dispicable. Do people enjoy chop films? I can't even call them slasher films. They just want to disembowel people in voyeristic ways. I don't find it entertaining.

And yet the Robin Willaims/ Nathan Lane movie "the Birdcage" had the same rating. You know why? they uttered the F word twice. Not even nudity (though in a movie with Nathan Lane and Robin Willaims you really don't want to see that stuff) oddly enough Spaceballs is rated PG on the VHS cover, but they also dropped the F bomb and the SH bomb.


That said...

Plus it should come with the cure for cancer and a lifetime supply of Ice Cream and Kinder Surprise eggs and sell for 25 cents. I.E. it ain't gonna happen. I really think WB has a real screw loose. Look at my "Why I'm Glad I don't Have Cable" thread for a rough idea of some horrid stuff they've been doing. Dudes are losing money, but they don't want to remedy it.

Getting this train back on track, I also want to see Earthworm Jim. And more full season boxes of other classic CN shows.
