Is it me, or was these two sort of a pair in the 90's? It seemed like they appeared alot together, rather they were on Sesame Street or promoting the Tickle Me Elmo dolls. Seeing this pair togther, I had always thought Rosie was a real cool person. I would also love it when she would host the KCA's. I had never really knew at the time that she was so disliked by the media, notabaly because the "type of person" she was.
Does anyone have their own oppinions on the following statment/comment said above? I never meant to hurt anyone. I just thought if anyone had their opinions on Rosie O' Donnell or any of this "nonsense" lately. If not, does anyone have any stories about there favorite Muppet/ Celebrity parings? Once again please excuse any "rudeness" that I've showed in this post, I have tried my best to approach such a difficult topic to discuss.
:embarrassed: :sympathy: :halo:

The one thing a classic fan would hate about Rosie is that she helped Elmo to take over Sesame Street with her constant mugging for the camera and promoting the Tickle Me Elmo doll.

However, i said before I hated Elmo in the 90's, but I've grown fond of the little hairball (and fonder still of his ubertalented performer).

But my favorite SS pairing is Big Bird and Mr. Rogers. Hands down.

Hehe, yes that does not thrill me. I don't dislike Rose O'Donnel, I don't even know her. But I don't like some of the things she's been saying lately. Mainly because she does not seem to check her sources, and she's very one sided. You can't trust people who are so clearly on one side.

She even hosted her show on the set of Sesame Street, I have a tape of it somewhere.

An Addendum. I said the best pairing was Big Bird and Mr. Rogers? Well, it's still in the top 2, but I forgot completely about Danny Devito and Oscar the grouch! Now THAT was an event!

Also, i liked Telly and Ben Stiller, and loved Harry belefonte and the Count.

Can we get back on the subject of celeb/Muppet pairings?

I didn't like her before it was hip to not like her . . . besides the topic is about Roise and Elmo. I agree with you that she helped Elmo to take over Sesame Street. All I know, is that I'm glad she's not the host of The Price is Right. I don't want her to ruin another of my favorite shows. (I like Elmo now as well, but wish he didn't dominate the show)

And yes, to your new subject, Bird and Mister Rogers is one of my favorite episiodes. I have the Big Bird appearance on the Neighborhood of Make Believe where he talks to X the Owl and everyone - it is awesome. and permanently saved on my tivo

He's probably angry they made fun of him twice, and once on a MadTv Sesame Street parody. I say the only thing about the feud is that as much as I don't care about Ro, Donald Trump is much worse. Yuck. Go back to the 80's and take the Care Bears with you.

Geesh! Talk about tanking your self seriously. But SNL parody him and he showed up on the show. Perhaps it was a contractual obligation?
