That is one awesome-looking statue, and the TRUE Howard the Duck, who originally looked very close to a cigar-chomping Donald, before Disney had Marvel change his look. Of course, Howard looks NOTHING like that in the movie.

I don't think you can compare the comic with the movie. Two totally different things. They're both wonderful things, in my opinion. The movie's so good cuz it's so bad. I could watch it over and over. They need to release it on DVD.
The comics are good cuz they make Howard seem real. It's a good satire.

Oh, I wasn't comparing the comic with the movie. I just said Howard's look was changed. I prefer the comics myself.

Haha I wasn't saying you were comparing Winslow! Sorry if I came off as a jerk! I was just saying in general. I have a friend that absolutely detests Howard so much so that I'm suprised we're still friends. The only thing he agrees on is the comic series.

I think it's crazy he's still waddling around the Marvel Universe. He was in a Civil War one-shot. He was also in Army of Darkness vs Marvel Zombies. He's been imortalized in plastic as a pack in with Marvel Legends' Silver Surfer. Now with this statue coming out...

With Marvel doing direct-to-DVD movies such as Avengers, Ironman, and Dr Strange, I'd like to see an animated Howard movie. I think they could bring him back BIG time with one of those.
