One time when I was a Year 6 student at the Primary School run by the Lutheran Church in my former hometown I inadvertently incited a mild commotion.:embarrassed: It wasn't really anything seriously bad though. What happened was this:

I had just traced out the outline of the State of Queensland on tracing paper out of a map of Australia in a school atlas. And just being a little silly I held it up and pretended the outline was speaking and introducing itself to everyone. "Hello. My name is Queensland."
And a female student who was standing nearby said. "Hey yeah. It could go "My name is Queensland. I live in Queensland. I've got some Queensland in my Queensland." That's a very cute little ditty isn't it?"

Well it was kind of, but I'm afraid she got carried away. When she sat back down at her desk she proceeded to say it over and over and over and over again. "My name is Queensland. I live in Queensland. I've got some Queensland in my Queensland." She must have chanted it at least 12 times and everybody else was getting so hysterical they were laughing their heads off sounding like one great big roar.
Finally just as she said the first line again the teacher silenced everybody with a waving of both his arms and said "Now look here. Enough is enough. Let's have a bit of quiet for awhile. Okay?"

You can bet the silence was very blissful after that incident.

Blissful? You didn't find it heavy and somewhat frightening? lol Yeah, I'm talking from experience.

Cute, cute story!

Well when I said blissful I was thinking about how to describe it from the teacher's point of view Kate. But it wasn't really all that frightening for me. He was the sort of teacher who got angry or annoyed in a soft sort of way. But I can guess what you mean from my experience of other teachers:eek:

And I'm glad you like both my silly stories.

Ah, I see. That's good then.
 Yeah, one of the reasons I finally decided teaching wasn't for me, was that I discovered my patience was limited when dealing with kids!

Obviously, someone's alter ego got the best of him/her, and it was funny!
