Unfortunately Classic Media once again ignores the fans who want COMPLETE BOX SETS and not staccatto 3 episode DVD releases.

But then again, I'm plopping down the money it takes to see this film on the disk and not have my mind warped by idiot movie producers...

Here-here cause I'm tired of these movie Directors and Execs, etc. ruining good cartoons and the like.

Speaking of which, it's been almost two years now, and Classic Media STILL owes us season four of Rocky and Bullwinkle! ! !

pssst... I dunno if I should be tellin' yah this, but rumor has it George of the jungle may come to DVD. I don't know if it's the original or the remake that will air on Cartoon Network, but There's a rumor there will be one.

Now if we can only get Hoppity Hooper and Jay's unsold finished pilots on Disk (Fractured Flickers has been released by an independant company earlier this year....) I'm all set.

They really do! I e-mailed Bullwinkle Studios directly about this, and they said there are no plans for it at this time, but that they are currently evaluating their shows for future DVD releases... so it doesn't sound good :frown:

My blog posting about Underdog features a few links. Enjoy it, but try not to laugh too much at the idea of me in red underwear.

I agree that the classic Underdog cartoons will probably always be the best, but I’ll withhold judgment on the new movie until I get to see it. There’s always the chance that it MIGHT be good. Although it’s likely that we’ll just have to settle for “okay”, the way we’ve been doing for so many similar movies. We’ll see.

I heard about that rumor over on the tvshowsondvd.com site - It would be very cool to have a complete series set of the original show. Believe it or not, there were less than 20 episodes!

Not surprising... it was a one season series, and Jay Ward pretty much actually LOSt money making it. They wouldn't have been making cartoons if they didn't have fun. Which is why they stopped making Cap'N Crunch commercials in 1984...

There were sadly only 17 episodes... 17 George cartoons, 17 Tom Slicks, 17 Super Chickens (not counting the 2 pilots finished and unfinished for Super Chicken and the single pilot for George of the Jungle).

>_> They made the dog so OOC.

In my baby days...I remember him as a timid and polite dog who talked in a meek voice. Now they've made him a 'teen' dog! D: UGH!
