Once when my brother and I were only about 10 or 11 I really annoyed him.

He was sitting in the loung-room reading a book and my crazy sense of humour gave me an idea for a bit of fun. I was inside a side room in a corridor leading straight out of the open door of the main lounge and I opened the door up a crack. Having a bubble blower tube in my hand I started to speak through it so that my voice was all distorted. And this is what I said.
"Hello. I am the Invisible Man. Isn't it a lovely day?"
After a brief pause I said, "Hello. I am the Invisible Man. Aren't you going to say hello to me?"
Another pause. Then again I said, "Hello. I am the Invisible Man." pause then adding, "You sure don't have much to say do you?"

Then my brother appeared at the door and said "I knew it was you Martin."
After he stomped off I stood there for awhile. I felt like a little more fun and staring at some of the stuffed toy animals in the room I was in, I had another idea.
I took a monkey doll and stuck it out into the hall from shoulder height so that it was hanging up in the air, where he would be able to see it through the lounge into the corridor. And this time I began to speak in a high-pitched squeaky voice without pausing as all.
"Hello. I'm Mary the Monkey. How are you? Well it's such a nice day, I thought I'd drop in and visit you for awhile. Find out how you were going. I hope you've been keeping in good health." And so on. And so on. Until finally he came charging into the room, took the monkey doll of me, threw it on the floor and stormed back out again.

I was laughing as much as I am now typing this and I thought that was enough fun and went to find something else to do.

Hmm, kind of reminds of me how much I enjoy tormenting my big (excuse me - older) sister whenever she's around.

Cute, cute story.
 By the end of it, you had me feeling sorry for all three of you: your brother, you, and the monkey for being thrown on the floor!
 lol

Somehow, that story reminds me of a time that was nowhere near halloween, and I had a pair of fake fangs sitting on my counter. I grabbed them, hiding them in my hand and knocked for my 8 year old next door neighboor (I was 13 at the time). She answered the door and said her cousins were over. Being the meanie I was, she let me in and I shoved the teeth in my mouth. Her cousin (maybe 8) came up to get her. And he is like what are you doing here and all I did was open my mouth and hissed at him. Then I pretened to bite my neighboor. Hehe, he went zooming through the house screaming bloody murder! Later after I was laughing so hard...he punched me. He hit hard for a 8 year old

I'm sorry about what happened at the end Sargey:sympathy: I hope he at least punched you in the stomach rather than the face.

 I think my brother was probably trying to read his book. No wonder he was annoyed. Imagine enduring what he endured while trying to concentrate on whatever sort of story he had in his hands Heh Heh Heh

I agree sweetheart! I do that kind of thing to my older brother more now than I did when I was younger! But it doesn't bother of get to him at all. he just ignores it. Oh well. At least I have a good laugh at his expense:smirk:

But Marty, I could help but think that you and your brother sound a little like Ernie and Bert. You being Ernie of course.

I did think of the comparison myself actually as I posted this story William.

In fact I clearly remember the very last line I said in that squeaky voice just before he barged in and cut me off. It was "I love to monkey around".
And if that doesn't sum up Ernie's description then I don't know what does.:stick_out_tongue:
