Of all the shows that premiered last fall, Aaron Sorkin's latest and possibly last was my favorite. The show featured all the trademarks of Sorkin's earlier shows (the equally wonderful Sports Night and The West Wing). Like The Larry Sanders Show, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip accurately portrayed life behind the camera of a network television show - in this case, a sketch comedy show. It is both a funny and an emotional program, which is not often the case these days with hour-long shows. Because of poor ratings, tomorrow will see the airing of the show's final episode, What Kind of Day Has it Been. Interestingly enough, this was also the first season finale episode title for both Sports Night and The West Wing.

For anybody who dearly loves this show, or at least has/had a passing interest in it, please share your thoughts.

Also, the complete series DVD is due in October. Mark your calenders.

I actually really enjoyed this show this year and I was so disappointed to hear it wasn't coming back. I think they took some risks and maybe made NBC a little too uncomfortable. At any rate, I thought the acting was great, the writing was outstanding and it's really unfortunate it's not coming back. There's so much more story to tell. It happens to all the good shows it seems.

You know a way to actually try and get them to bring that show back? BUY THE DVD! It worked with Family Guy, and Futurama. Why not Studio 60?

Because Korean animators are cheaper to get than all these guys. That's why... Plus the Futurama new series? I heard it's gonna be the 2 movies they were making split up into half hour segments.

But you know what I loved about this show? The opening monologue when Judd Hersh. They hit the nail on the head... WWe're a country of supposed high moral fiber causing us to dumb down programming, and yet we can have gratuitous sex reality shows with no complaint! I've been anti-censorship all my life when I heard the horrible things they did to ren and Stimpy and now witnessing first hand how sloppy hack censoring ruins stuff like One Piece, when the original countries had no problem with it. Television "decency" advocates are total hypocrites... protect kids from reality, but yet, we'll have FOX poop out another sleeze pot reality sexcapade show, or some garbage where judges humiliate people for the sake of humiliating them...

Yes, it IS sick.

Yeah, I knew from Judd's speech in the first episode that we were in for something really special.

And we were.

I just hope that things end up somewhat resolved. After the last few episodes I'm just worried about a couple of things, especially Jordan....
