Of all the shows that premiered last fall, Aaron Sorkin's latest and possibly last was my favorite. The show featured all the trademarks of Sorkin's earlier shows (the equally wonderful Sports Night and The West Wing). Like The Larry Sanders Show, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip accurately portrayed life behind the camera of a network television show - in this case, a sketch comedy show. It is both a funny and an emotional program, which is not often the case these days with hour-long shows. Because of poor ratings, tomorrow will see the airing of the show's final episode, What Kind of Day Has it Been. Interestingly enough, this was also the first season finale episode title for both Sports Night and The West Wing.

Also, the complete series DVD is due in October. Mark your calenders.
