First of all, NO, this is NOT a Friends thread, this is a thread for people who suffer from insomnia, like your's truely!

How does insomnia effect you? For me, I can be lying in bed for HOURS before I finally start to drift off to sleep, then after that, I continue to wake up periodically during the night before it's time for me to get up.

What do you do to try to fight your insomnia? Used to, Ambien would help me, but I've been taking it for so long now, it's almost like Ambien doesn't even work anymore!

So if it's the middle of the night, and you can't sleep, just post here!

I really don't have insomnia... it's just my own crazy choice to stay up in to obscene hours of the night. :smirk:

Oh, I love to stay up late too... but the fact of the matter is that I am an insomniac... it's been a LONG time since I actually had a good night's sleep as a matter of fact... I think the last time I had a good night's sleep was sometime in October...

I have ADHD and my doctor puts me on these medications. I have been taking them since I was five. But now I'm use to taking pills.

Oh okay, I know what that's like, my cousin had ADHD, and I knew a guy at school who had it too, and took it for granted.

There have been plenty of nights when I've suffered from insomnia. I usually watch TV,read or (if worse comes to worse) come Online.

Well I've been reading about ways to help insomnia, and I tried on way yesterday, and it seemed to work: I ate a big lunch yesterday afternoon, and then a very light meal about three hours before I went to bed, and that seemed to help.

I'm going to try a different "remedy" each night to see which one works best for me.
