I was always partial to Uncle Deadley, especially after I learned he was patterned after Vincent Price, one of my favorite actors.

Plus, I like spooky things in general (films, books, etc.) so Uncle Deadley fits the bill!

Growing up, I was never scared of the large Muppets, such as Sweetums. I saw them as overgrown children.

...and although he's not considered a Muppet "monster," I thought Phil Van Neuter was a clever character, and Tales from the Vet was one of the highlights (for me, anyway) of Muppets Tonight...

The monster orphanage sketch on the Dom DeLuise episode of The Muppet Show used to quite unnerve me. I can't remember being scared of the monster puppets at any other time but the way I remember feeling a little scared when they start breaking out of their cages at the end.
