Well I certainly hope you two were married when you had this child.

Meanwhile my girl has two girls of her own, but they have their own father, so I missed out on the fun there.

Oh well, she's only 45, I'm almost 18, who knows?

I don't have any kids, and I didn't vote. I wonder why this needs to be apoll. Unless it automatically closes after a certain period of time, if those of us who don't have kids vote no now, what'll happen if we do have kids in the future? I don't suppose we can change our votes.

My health problems (including a serious disability I was born with) would make it hard to raise even an adopted child: try changing a diaper when your hands are too clumsy to tie shoes, or chasing a runaway toddler when you're deathly afraid of running him down with your power wheelchair. Thank goodness I'm single and haven't had any family pressure to become a parent!

I would like to have children some day. But going at the rate I am at the present time that probably will be never. I love children, and love being with them. I went thought a phase when I wanted a baby more than anything in the world, but I think a lot of girls go through that then it wears off.
When and IF I have children, I would like to have 2 one boy and one girl names Emeily and Christopher Chris for short.

My mom swears I'm going to have a boy named David Sue (don't ask, PLEASE) and a girl named Kathryn Elizabeth.

When I have kids, I'm gonna name them: David Christopher, Travis Montgomery, Vincent Alexander, Howard Joshua, Elizabeth Grace, and Nell Victoria.

Well, I'm a little young to have kids, but I plan on having around six. Four boys and two girls. And yes, I have names picked out.
That's exactly what my grandmother had!
my grandparents had just the opposite... four girls and two boys.. my own parents had one girl and two boys... all involved claim boys are much easier to raise

A buddy asked me to open this thread/poll for discussion.

I don't have kids. Never wanted them. I'd rather someone else have kids, then I can borrow them and teach them bad things (like my buddy Tim's kids: I taught his youngest daughter to go up to new visitors to their house, scruch her face up and holding her finger next to her head to say REDRUM!--His oldest daughter doesn't give in to the dark side of the force as easily), and then I can give them back.

Plus, I never have been able to keep a pet alive. Heck my plants die. So, another reason not to have a kid.

What about you?
I am totally with you...I have no desire to have children ever. I'm almost 30 now and while I like kids generally and get along with them, I just don't see me raising them. I don't have that yearning/motherly instinct in me yet I love my cats, (and all animals mostly) and take care of them and stuff but kids....nope not for me. I have a million reasons for not wanting them from not wanting to go through the physical pregnancy to just not wanting to bring kids into the world the way it is today, but I don't want to offend anybody here or get on a soap box, just it's not for me, trust me...
