Like I said, NOBODY I know, whether it's real-life, or online, actually likes Miley Cyrus.
I guess you don't know any of her fans then. Maybe there all in Nashville where she's from. Do you suppose more girls take a liking to her then guys do?

Heck, without Billy Ray's Achy Breaky, Miley wouldn't be as famous as she is, honestly.
Yes and no... I mean, she did audition for the part anyway. And she just happened to have a star push from her father. But it could have easily been one of a hundred girls that became a random celebrity in a below quality TV show, and have an obligatory album or 2.

But I doubt that they'd force Miley to be one of the CHipettes. Heck, for all we know, the Chippettes appearing in the movie is a fan speculation rumor. I'd like to see them too... but the sequal is in the process of being scripted, and that's as far as its gone.

Well okay. I mean she got the roll. But her attitude of being tired of doing it just makes her sound ungrateful to be doing what she does for a living. I bet most kids would do anything to do what she does and to be as big as she is.

Yeah, you're right, some weird person out there decided to pick three random names from a hat and say they're going to play The Chipettes, so that's how it was announced Drew Barrymore would play Brittany, Jojo would play Jeanette, and Miley Cyrus would play Eleanor.

But kids of this generation who didn't grow up with the 'munks like previous generations might not've known who plays the 'munks since everybody's voice sounds the same when sped up.
Actually, everybody's voice doesn't sound the same, you do have to have the same sort of voice type to make it sound like the character. I should know, I spent enough time trying to get voices that just weren't munkable to work:sympathy:.

Do people actually have to audition for this gig?

I'm not exactly sure how casting works...

I THINK if I'm not mistaking, the process goes like this...

The director, writer, and/or producer or whoever usually writes a character with a particular actor in mind, and I believe that's when the casting director brings in said actors to read for the part to see if the director, writer, and/or producer really do feel the actor is just right for the part.

That much I remember, because I saw a behind-the-scenes featurette for the movie Elf, and the director saying he wanted someone like Bob Newhart to play Buddy's adoptive elf father, and lo and behold, in came Newhart as Papa Elf.

Radio was also a chance to live a dream of having Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ed Harris star in a movie together.

If they don't think the film is going to do as well on its own they sometimes just try to get big names to play the characters to...Of course, the new movie did very well I think, so they should not have to have someone like Jojo :stick_out_tongue:

I don't think the names on the first movie justify the first films success.
