Is anyone else getting tired of these commercials? I'm so sick of hearing about "the magic of a first kiss" and "true compatibility". For those of you who don't know (and this whole thread should prove this to be obvious), I am currently not in a relationship. And many of you may think, "Oh, you're young, you still have time yet". But understand (warning: pathetic alert) that I've been trying to get a girlfriend since preschool. And as a single person, I'm getting tired of hearing "So-and-so loves me for who I am", and that, my friends, is NOT realistic! I have not been in ONE relationship yet where I was truly accepted for who I am. It's gotten so bad that whenever an eHarmony commercial comes on or if I hear "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)", I shout obscenities at my TV. Maybe it's only me, but I had to let my feelings out.
How can an 18 year old be that bitter?

you know hwy you have not been in love yet? YOU'RE 18! You shouldn't even be looking for a serious relationship yet. You should just be dating whoever. Play the numbers. At some point, probably in your mid 20's, you'll find an actual relationship at some point, but not if you look for it. Looking for a relationship makes you try too hard and you end up trying to force it. I know, I did it, doesn't work. When you don't try to force a relationship into existence, it just happens.

For someone that is a fan of ave q I owuld think you would know that.

I'm kind of sick of the new ones of these people being rejected by eHarmony because they're "not a good person", too lazy to answer every single questions on the questionare, or even gay.

Heh, I've seen one of those new commercials with the girl who is rejected by eHarmony. I wasn't paying attention, but isn't it for a rival service or something?

I'm sick of it as well.
They sugarcoat it in such a way that'd make anybody wish they were in a land of royalty and talking woodland creatures that do your every whim.
It's actually hilarious and I find myself laughing.

Yes, many opportunities came to me, where I was to "find that special somebody" but I reject it. Besides, college is ENOUGH to serve as a dating shack. It's really amazing!

I CERTAINLY have love at first sights MANY times (by others, not by me...I don't do what they do) but PLEASE!
COME ON!

They're teens!
Sex driven!

Er...I'm ranting.

*Stops self*

Point is--those commercials make me laugh.

LOL, that's a pretty accurate description of 'em!

And if we can't find you a match, we'll give you your money back! Well, at least there's THAT!

Yeah! To me it like your just going out and stalking for love or somthing, LOL! I think it quite silly. Just wake up out of bed and go, "Hmm.. I think I'm going to find my perfect match today." (Starts typing www. address)
