BTW... Just a quick pop in to say... It's been confirmed that David Rudman is now officially Scooter's new performer. He also performs Janice. This was supplied by Steve Finney, MuppetCast listener and MC member, as reported in MuppetCast 85. Bye. :flirt:

So it's official, is it? Like I said in an earlier post, it's really apropos that it's Richard's best friend/little brother/mountain-climbing pal who's taking on the part of Scooter.

And D.W. McKim wrote in one of the MC tribute articles that he thought David Rudman would make a good replacement performer for Scooter. So there you go.

Yep. All we can hope for now is Scooter and Janice and maybe some others make a fuller comeback in Muppet productions.

Hi, Kiki! Great to hear from you again! Well I guess the big topic is the Fraggle box set. I do hope I can ask a relative to generously help me with this issue around Christmas, hehe. Did you (or MuppetNewsgirl since you weren't here) see the preview video clip from the wrap party?

http://www.amazon.com/Fraggle-Rock-..._bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1227495178&sr=8-2

Note the familiar voice interjecting in the middle of Jim's speech, hehe.
Actually, I haven't checked it out. Hm... I'll have to scavenge through some posts, eh?

Oh yeah, I wouldn't mind that boxset too, though I don't know whether it's available in Aus. -_- Grr... I'm also keen on SS Old School 2 as well...

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. It depends on how many regions HIT decided to release it in, or how many companies have the video rights to FR. It's all very confusing.

Yeah I don't really understand how it's done outside the US. But it often seems to be unequal which is annoying, heh.

It would be great if this means Scooter or Janice can start making more frequent appearances. And hopefully the productions themselves will not disapoint.

There are a lot of FR DVD's out at the moment, so that good- I just currently haven't got any money, lol. But only SS Old Schhol Vol.1 and TMS season 1&2 is out...

Oh well that's good at least that's something. Hopefully your income will go up in time, that's the biggest headache, hehe. Btw, just curious did you see any of Sesame Street as a kid?

Oh fer shur, Heralde! I LOVED it... I grew up with 90's SS, but I remember it having a lot of sketches from the 80's, too. It was on twice a day, wasn't it? Morning and arvo? And I still have all of my SS videos and toys which I had when I was a young... buck. In fact, just the other day, I came across a picture of me when I was about... meh, three or four, and I was playing in this little house-thingy which my mum and my brother made for me out of cardboard boxes, and it was the '123' apartment from SS! And I had all my toys peeping out of the windows and all... it was vair cute.

Oh cool! Yeah I'd forgotten until recently that it was on in the morning and afternoon ("arvo", I love that! hehe). I remember because I used to see it in the morning, and then again at my friend's house at night. (So if I was scared of something on the show that morning, I knew I'd have to see it again later that day! Yay! Hehe)

That's so great that you still have all that! I had a ton of SS merchandise when I was a kid but it's all gone now, ::sniff::. I have a photo of me crying around two or three years old and my hand is on my gigantic Sesame Street toy chest, lol. It looked like a bus with all the characters looking out the windows, with Barkley in the bank, it was so cute.

I recently bought some old SS tapes from Amazon that I used to have and watched every single day, hehe. They were little Sesame Street adventures but presented with still drawings of all the characters.

I think my favorite was "Big Bird Brings Spring to Sesame Street."
Big Bird is really depressed about all the snow in winter so a friend gives him some beautiful flowers to remind him of spring. But throughout the day, he ends up giving up a flower to Grover, Oscar and Bert, who are also upset by the winter. Big Bird eventually loses all the flowers, which makes even more depressed. Until he sees his friends standing all around Sesame Street with his flowers, making everything a bit brighter and more cheerful. And it was all due to his generosity, what a great message. :wisdom:
