Hmm...the clips don't work for me. Then again, my computer's hooked up to a really temperamental network at the moment.

On a different topic: one thing really struck me when I was listening to the latest MuppetCast. According to Steve, Jane told him that going over all those memories of Richard with him for the shows, going through all the mementos and stuff, was almost like having Richard back again.

That, to me, made the podcast.

It still strikes a chord.

That and the Scooter plush thing.

Indeed. The MuppetCast gave us a bit of Richard's spirit, I think.

It was very touching how Jane apparently said it feels like Richard is around again. I'd like to think our little (or heh not so little) thread also contributed to that in the universe.

It was interesting how they kept mentioning someone who is trying to write a book. I hope that goes through, whatever it is!

Kinda bummed that I couldn't get that DVD, but it's not the end of the world.

Hey all! I'm feeling kinda sick tonight but I'm reading thru this thread and wanted to drop a quick note about the book. Apparently it's been an ongoing project for some time. I called the Legacy while driving home from Atlanta last year because I thought it'd be a great idea to have someone write a comprehensive biography of the Muppets. I heard back from them that it was being written, and again that was last September. Lotsa research apparently, and that's a good thing

Yup we don't realize but these things can take awhile, especially if done well. Tx, here's hoping!

Yeah - I really want to see some of those photos. And that book sounds really, really interesting.

Well, the saying is that a person is only really dead when no one remembers or cares about him or her anymore. If that's the case, Richard's not going to completely kick the bucket anytime soon.

Nicely said! Although, there are a lot of people who aren't remembered anymore because of time or ignorance, heh, but those people still matter. Of course, perhaps what really matters is the legacy and influence a person had, not just if people remember their name. They say every person would be brought to their knees in awe if they knew the influence they made in the world. Very comforting.

Hmm...did I mention I want a Scooter plushie now more than ever?
