I think I'd enjoy a really good, comprehensive biography of The Muppets, rather than just a biopic of Jim. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy and excited over the recent news of the film, but I think I'd get more out of a book that isn't constrained the same way a movie is (probably 100-120 minutes). A Muppet biography could cover both Jim's story and the story of the many people around him, and if it was written well, it would beautifully weave the stories together to tell the tale of The Muppets.

Well, there is Jim Henson: The Works. It's a pretty good bio of Jim and Muppets into the early 90's but I'd love to see more about what happened with the Muppets since then.

You know? I was really thinking about them doing this instead and I think that's a really good direction to go with this.

I agree, I probably would have enjoyed a more general Muppet bio-pic, than one just focused on Jim. They're doing it for Jim because he's the most well known. But to use the Beatles example again, I always enjoyed the bio-pics more that focused on all the Beatles, rather than just John or Paul.

(Although, they are doing one about George sometime in the future, and I have to admit, I don't mind that! Hehe)

Hello. It's been awhile since I've checked in here. Or at least it seems.

I haven't tried hearing any of those MuppetCast shows yet. Though I do want to.

Let me explain my situation. As some of you may well remember, I was previously on a dial-up connection deal that only allowed me to get on from 11pm to 11am with restrictions of being on before 7am to stay till 11am. So if a phone call cut me offline I couldn't get back on after 7 and to try to talk to you all I used to be up all night.

When Telstra phone company called me and offered me broadband I jumped at it so I could get on anytime during the day but I've found out in retrospection it gets very expensive. I've changed my plan from one that gives me 200, then 400 and now 600 megabytes each month and I'm still getting billed up in extra megabytes over my monthly allowance for 15c per megabyte. Mum said with my involvement at MC I would have been better off inquiring with my dial-up providers for a deal that would have given me unlimited downloads at a set monthly charge the way my pension is.

As it now stands I'm committed to a 24 month contract before I can opt out of my current deal and when I finally move back in with the family by the end of February I'll still have approximately another year before I can change anything.
So I'm planning to limit my usage strictly to Saturday and Sunday when I've got my computer back over there to see if I can make things as cheap for me as possible.
Then I'll consider making better arrangements. It's hard I know, but you have to learn the hard way by trial and error.

Thank you all for your friendship and hugs all around with bubbles supplied by Bill. :flirt:

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties, Marty. We will miss seeing you around as much! But it's totally understandable why you'll be limiting your usage. I hope that everything will work out wonderfully for you as you continue to finish up this contract and when you can move onto your next deal! I hope you find one that you will be very happy with. And I hope you enjoy moving back with your family!

Aw, good luck with those difficulties!

Hmm, ok I have a bit of a question. I wandered into a little nic nac store the other day, that turned out to have a ton of random Muppet stuff, lol. I was pleasantly surprised to see two Statler dolls! I wanted to buy one, but them my OCD kicked in and made it difficult for me to decide which one, lol.

They're both basically the same. Just that one of them looks the most like the actual puppet (and even kinda resembles you-know-who lol). The other doesn't look quite as "puppety" but definitely makes me laugh every time, lol.

I figured this was the best place to get a second opinion. I'm not sure why this is so difficult, is this a bad sign or something? Lol

Just thought you'd like to know. There's a new poll on the Web section about who you would like to hear from first on the next Muppetcast. One of the options is Jane Hunt. Now I'm not pressuring anyone on how to vote. I'd never do that, hehe. I'm just saying that I personally would love to hear from Jane again.
