In that case, Muppet Musique aside, we should be pleased that some of out ideas and opinions may actually be taken on board. We wanted high-quality Muppet replicas, we wanted season-by-season DVD releases of The Muppet Show and Fraggle Rock, not to mention old skool Sesame Street.
Maybe they are listening after all.

Which is why it's good to be constructive when posting on the boards, and discussion of product is a good idea.

Sometimes, as with Palisades, the merchadising companies listen (not just JHC, SW, or Diz). It's how we got the greatest set of action figures ever created! I think it began with a poll at henson.com, then Palisades began to post at the old MC Delphi boards and soon enough we got 'em.

Well I'd personally be thrilled if they did listen. I'd buy reissues of Muppet and Sesame albums but only as long as they remain unedited (yes, I want to hear all the record references. The whole point of buying a reissue is to have the original product that was missed out on, not a cut up version). I seriously spent $60 on Sesame CDs just this month and around $80 on vinyl records. The customer base is there, they just need to sell to it.

There is a market out there for this stuff but is it big enough for Disney to make a big enough profit? I was wondering how well the last few Muppet CD releases have sold. I bought them all, each of them managed to have at least a few tracks I didn't already have on CD. I don't mind seeing the original recordings remastered (as with the new Fraggle Rock collection) but I agree, it would be better to have the whole original album than just snippets.

The problem with the Muppet CD releases is that they keep releasing the same stuff over, and over, and over again.

If they would make a CD of never before released music, I bet they could make it happen. Especially if they began to do 3 or 4 CD sets with songs sung only by Muppets and not guest stars of The Muppet Show as Season CD sets. It's a long shot idea, but hey: If they put that out, even with previously released songs, I'd buy it!

Another thing I keep saying and I'm like a broken record: CD Set of The Complete Works of Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem! From all the shows, movies, specials, etc. If it's just Floyd and Zoot then it's gravy for the CD.

I can't wait to buy the Fraggle CD at the end of this month. I hope SS will also follow that with some never before released songs.

I'd also love to have the Fraggle Rock extended, never heard or released version of the opening theme song. That would be awesome. Maybe it'll show up on a DVD as an extra or something?
