Actually, I disagree. You see, it was clearly inspired by animal, and it could just be one of those "we had to change the look or we'd get sued" type deals

I wouldn't put it past Maxwell Atoms to have a muppet reference. He once had "Manah Manah" on his Myspace page.

Well... There was an episode of Grim Adventures called Puddle Jumping, where Billy ends up at the swamp where a swamp witch fishes him out to turn him into a pie. When Billy first arrives at the swamp, he asks where is he? And why is there a frog playing the banjo? An alligator promptly devours the reference to our frog-in-chief.

You too?
Dracula says you get back here girl!
Hush up Drac.
Nobody tell Dracula what to do. Only Dracula tell Dracula what to do.
You'll scare that headache out of her.
Dracula don't care bout no headache.
That makes two of us.

*Dracula walks off to the early bird special buffet.
Oh great, now he's gone off.
Hey Clauds, wait up! *Pumpkin cab pulls up to take Claudia and Ed back to the dorms.

I still dont see how it looks anything like animal.
A monster playing the drums does not an animal make.
It looks more like a rabbid muppaphone playing the drums to me.

I just watched a Duck Dodgers cartoon called "Too Close for Combat," where at the end, the Martian Queen orders her drones to paint Marvin (long story) green.

The Drone says "Sorry, Commander. It's not easy being painted green!"

Last weeks episode of Drawn Together was called "Drawn Together Babies" the opening part and most of the episode was a spoof of Muppet Babies.
