i'm guessing that they are gonna reveal them :concern::embarrassed: at toy fair
I think you're right. I'm happy to upgrade those 3 figures in my Palisades collection. I hope they make Piggy, Rowlf, Animal, and Bunsen figures, too, because I think those figures could also use upgrades.

Of the figures made by Palisades Toys I'd want to actually replace with NECA's newly announced line would be...
Dr. Teeth, if only to get his figure with a magnetic hat due the original's not always staying in place.
Miss Piggy, because the Palisades signature figure was not really representative of the character until we got the First Mate Piggy variant.
Robin the Frog, so his signature figure is fully articulated like everybody else.

I'd also want Sal Minella to complete the duo with Johnny Fama. Other than that, I hope NECA can get to characters Palisades had in mind but never got to make.

IT'S HAPPENING!!! OMG!

While I loved the DST line, I can not wait to see what to see what NECA does with this! The old Palisades stuff is great, but I need a Kermit with some midern articulation and swappable parts.

I'm very excited about this announcement and really curious how the line will go. NECA has some interesting choices to make for character selection, since many of the likely collectors for this line already have the Palisades figures. For example, I would be hesitant to buy a Sam Eagle figure because my Palisades one is fine for me. But, there are other Palisades figures that could use an upgrade, like Rowlf, Piggy, and Kermit, and they would likely be bought by many folks who already have a Palisades collection. Since Palisades canceled the line before making figures of characters like Sal, Nigel, or Louis Kazagger, I expect NECA won't make these figures either. If there wasn't enough interest back then, I doubt there will be now - unless the new special is a huge hit and a new successful series starts.

Here's my just for fun guess on characters that I think we're likely to see in the line based on my guess about interest for Palisades collectors and generally in Tiers of likelihood.
Tier 1: Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo, Piggy, Rowlf, Animal
Tier 2: Janice, Floyd, Dr. Teeth, Zoot
Tier 3: Bean Bunny, Mahna Mahna and Snowths, Bobo, Lips
Tier 4: Crazy Harry, Wayne and Wanda, Statler and Waldorf

I'm so excited to see what's coming for this and their Sesame Street line!

While I'm still gutted we narrowly missed out on a to scale figure of Pepe the King Prawn, I'm excited to potentially pick up some of these. The Sesame Street and Dinosaurs NECA figures have been on my radar for a while, and the only Diamond Select figure I ever bought was Kermit. I might start getting into collecting NECA's Henson releases.

I'm surprised this has come around so fast. I sorta thought they would do Muppets eventually but announcing them only 3 figures into the Sesame Line shocked me. But I'm excited i can't wait to see what alternative heads they get. Kermit's grumpy face & a season 1 Gonzo head is a must in my opinion. Plus the articulation is going to be a serious upgrade from the old ones (NECA if your reading this Sam with moving eyes please lol) The one I'm most interested in see though is Piggy. I imagine we'll get more news at Toy Fair in a couple of weeks
