I’ve seen critics say it’s cause “it just doesn’t have that muppet charm in it” or something like that but imo muppets is space is one of my favorite movies EVVVEERR!!! I LOVED muppets tonight, it was so fresh seeing new muppets join the cast (also more clifford screen time because HE WAS THE HOST OF THE SHOW!!!!!) (he was one my favorite characters from the Jim Henson hour!!) and I loved how they brought those characters over to Muppets from Space! (some of the characters even got some fresh characterization, like how they turned Dr. Phil van Neuter into an almost villainous type of guy even though he was pretty chill on the show.)
