April Fools: New-ish Sesame Street Segment Announced!

So, remember how episode 5306 used “Me Llamo” as a tribute to Emilio Delgado and aired it in its original 4:3 aspect ratio? Well according to insiders at Sesame Workshop, this was a test for a “new” part of the show they intend to introduce in season 54, From the Sesame Vaults.

From what I understand, each of the 35 episodes of season 54 will include one full frame segment to fit with its theme. Currently, only one segment has been confirmed for the lineup (this classic right here), so we don’t know quite how far back they’ll go.
