Does anybody know why in a storybook version of Disney's Pinocchio (the oversize Disney Classic Series) the Coachman who runs Pleasure Island is referred to as Barker?

I know that, but the question I was asking is: Was Barker an official name given to the character by Disney that they rarely revealed?
