Yes, I remember Farley!

I have the sketch of him going to buy a new hat on the Rainstorm episode of Unpaved, in which my father taped it for me in very late 2002.

This Anything Muppet also appears on the Marching Song with Bert, the Clapping Song with Roosevelt Franklin, he also appears on the far audience of the movies where Ernie can't see the movie because of the tall lady muppet (the sketch I saw on the Death of Mr. Hooper episode at the Museum of Radio & Television!) and the old sketch that can be shown on the Season 1 of Play With Me Sesame where he and his friends didn't have a great time having a party because the record player broke.

As I watched Re-paved (y'know, the 2000 episodes), I think Farley apppeared on the song, "Computers In the Neighborhood" with Elmo.

For the Sesame Street Encyclopedia, Farley will be added online soon (i think).

Farley.

Good old Jerry Nelson.

He appeared very early on....as early as 1970, I believe.

He can be heard on several Muppet albums, including the early track "Everyone Makes Mistakes" with Big Bird from 1970.

There was 1 more skits with him that was on Unpaved.

He is at the Lost and Found looking for his toy box. The man gets out every box he has, finally finds one just like he described, and Farley finds his own, just like the one the man had, in his pocket.

He did indeed. He also appeared in 2000 (aprroximate year) and sang a song I think is called "To the Vet" where he takes his sick cat to the veterinarian. Unfortunately I think those were his two last appearances, but it was nice to see a sort of newer character (Elmo) talk with an older character (Farley).

You're right...the earliest I've seen him is episode #131 (Second Season Premiere). He can be seen in a window when Cookie Monster and Gordon have the letter "J" and at Hooper's Store during the closing scene.

And Farley also was in at least one of the Grover skits where Grover was an elevator operator. It's the one where Grover says the elevator can only hold 5 people so he has to count them. There are a total of five, so they can all go up. But then they tell Grover he can't get on because the elevator only hold five people. Grover mentions Farley by name in this one. Maybe Farley was in some of the other Grover elevator skits too, but don't remember.

One also just came back to me in the 70's of Farley standing at that wall with a child. He asks him if he can count to 12. The boy says he can count to 12 hundred! Farley replies, "1200? Well... I think I'd rather hear you count to 12." (Jerry Nelson wanted to be able to go home to dinner that night!)

And this one was also recently uploaded on youtube. I like Farley anyway but this was probably my favorite Farley skit. I love Jerry Nelson's laugh when Farley finds his toy box in his pocket. And that ending was great with the man losing it and pushing all the boxes on the floor. (Impressive how Henson makes the man throw the last big box!).

Farely is the biggest loser on Sesame Street. yeah, he loses his dog, he loses his toy box.... :halo: But another cute little kid character that Jerry played fabulously.
