As I've said time and time again, unless there's some sort of legal precedent, Disney seems almost afraid to bring in actual Muppet writers to create material for the Muppets to work with, let alone let the Muppets just do their own thing. They're trying too hard to give the Muppets mainstream appeal by bringing in mainstream writers from other mainstream projects, the Muppets were never about being mainstream.
