I gotta be honest...

In all the other fandoms I'm apart of (Doctor Who, Star Wars, Looney Tunes, etc.) not one is as toxic and just plain annoying as the Sesame Street fandom. It really saddens me to type this, but just... all of these annoying ungrateful fans *cough cough Rohail, AboutAlmostAnythingFan, etc, etc, etc.* are just pure irritating. I get some of them have behavioral problems, but that is no excuse for bullying other fans into getting what they "need". Truth is, no one needs Sesame Street clips, and as much as I love the show, I could live without it. It's not like I'm going to die because I don't have my Sesame clips.

Ugh, so anyway I've been meaning to post a rant like this for awhile. :grouchy:

You basically have a privileged life if your biggest problem is a Sesame Street clip you don't have.

I waited 8 and a half years to see "NTV" again, and it certainly was a treat when it surfaced on YouTube in early 2007.

I'm sadly guilty of once pestering people to upload it, but eh, I was 14 and alot different than I am now.

I've said this before, but I can easily say there are certain clips that will never see the light of day unless we just get lucky (and I'm talking about clips/episodes that had controversy and were taken off like the Wicked With from the West or if the skits are song covers that need music clearance), or other skits that we'll just be lucky if they ever surface because they didn't make it to the era of VCR's.

Yeah definitely. For example Windy. :sympathy:

I could easily say Sony could have released "Spinning Wheel" on the old school volume 1 release since they own the rights to that song when they still had home video rights, but eh, they blew their chance there. :smirk:

Also, in regards to Windy - since I know Warner owns the rights to that song, I really hope they don't blow the chance of releasing that on a possible 50th anniversary boxset.

You know what would be great? If Sesame Workshop released a "Rare Gems" DVD set for the 50th anniversary. I could see it having rare clips released for the first time, along with maybe an unseen episode or two.

Probably a long shot, but I can always dream... :smirk:

They could at least release original songs that were made from the show.

I know the Raposo songs sadly have been getting cut from HBO syndications, but hopefully none of that could effect home video releases...

Now that I've really gotten into the series...

Naruto.

Don't even get me started with this fanbase.

You know, I think the Homestar Runner fandom is probably one of the calmest and least toxic I've ever seen. There's hardly any arguing at all, and a majority of the fans I've seen are cool and mature people.
