Has anyone ever noticed how dogs have their own unique breeds, whereas cats, while they have different breeds.... All look the same in shape?

Ever notice that so many movies from the 70s have terrible, terrible sound quality? TMM is no exception to that, but really, a lot of 70s movies have sound that sounds as though you're listening to the entire movie through a phone that's being held up to a speaker.

Well, audio at least; the advent of stereo was around this time, so that probably has something to do with it.

It's funny how records from the 70's were getting better all the time.
Movies took a little longer to catch on.
Earthquake (1974) was one of the first released with Sensurround. Some theaters even were equipped for a quadrophonic mix, with an extra woofer placed on the floor behind the screen, so the theater would vibrate during the earthquake scenes.
Unfortunately in many theaters this caused plaster to fall from the ceiling.
But none of this mattered when the movie was shown on TV, since most TV sets at the time had tinny little 3-inch speakers.

Star Wars, I believe was the first presented in Dolby. Great leap forward, but again, the progress wasn't as noticeable watching it on TV.

So why is it when it's been cloudy and/or rainy for just a couple of days and the sun comes out, everybody acts like they haven't seen the sun in months? "Finally! The sun is out again! I thought this would never happen again!!!" After just two days of clouds.
