Sharon and I celebrating 17 years of marriage.
A couple from our church took us out for dinner (it's their anniversary too, but they have a few more years on us).

Went to the fanciest Italian restaurant around. Makes Mackaphoney Grill look like Burger King.
This is the type of place with valet parking, tie and jacket required, and menu prices far beyond our budget. But it was their treat. They footed the bill for EVERYTHING.
The bill for the four of us was over three hundred bucks. But they wanted to treat us.

We shared an appetizer, gnocchi in mushroom sauce.
Clams Casino.
Caesar Salad.
Main course was risotto with asparagus, sun dried tomatoes, tips of filet mignon in a brandy demi-glaze sauce.
Amaretto gelato for dessert.
Espresso with biscotti.

Not exactly spaghetti-o's.
For those of you that might think "Eeewwww!!! That's gross! I'd never eat that!", wait until you're my age and see if your taste buds don't change.
We couldn't afford this place on our own, but every bite was worth every penny.

This might also be out of element for most of you, but it was common growing up in the 70's, on weekends, the family getting dressed up and going out to dinner.
Back then, restaurants weren't exactly kid-friendly. You got dressed up, ate grown-up food, acted grown-up (you were expected to be on your best behavior, or you got smacked). No phones, no video games, and dinner might last an hour or two. You might fidget in your seat, but you didn't dare act up. So yes, there was some degree of discipline involved.
How many people have I alienated by now?

But might I digress. Another year with the love of my life, and good company over amazing food. Might be a while before we're wined and dined like that again, but it was magnificent. For one evening, we lived like kings.

Aw, that's great. I'm happy you enjoyed your anniversary. Also, all that food is making my mouth water :insatiable:.

No, no, keep going. I think all of two people kept reading after that .

Call me late if you must, but I watched the series finale for Breaking Bad for the first time..... And wow. It was definitely a great way to end the show.

Friend of mine from high school got me into the show in 2012..... But I didn't really start to watch it that much until I got a little older and really became more of a fan in 2015.

I'm kinda skeptical on checking out Better Call Saul, but I suppose I'll give it a shot.

I was reading Giggles' character bio on the official HTF wiki and found a bit of probably unintentional humor in it. Her list of interests starts off as a bunch of innocent, little girl stuff (having tea parties, snowball fights, sleepovers, etc.) but that the last two are playing poker and dating a bunch of male characters. Our sweet little Giggles is now gambling and basically acting like a ho? They grow up so fast! lol

Actually, now that I think about it:They probably didn't mean that at all. My family and I went to the flea market today and I saw the famous dogs playing poker painting on a cup. I quickly noticed that it looked almost exactly like what was shown in the episode, it was more than likely a parody/homage to that painting rather than implying she has a gambling addiction. Considering I'm a Robot Chicken fan, I should be able to recognize a parody when I see it (I'm pretty sure they even spoofed that same painting on Robot Chicken, too). Also:The dating other characters thing is because honestly, there are very few females on the show. They probably weren't making her act "edgy" by dating other characters in the new episodes, but rather just realizing that they had a Smurfette (okay, two females makes them slightly better than the Smurfs about that but not by much). Actually, around the time the whole controversy about Giggles dating other characters started is when they added Lammy to the gang and made Flaky a girl. They probably just didn't want the fans to think their sexist, or trying to copy The Smurfs. So yeah, I really don't find much humor in that character bio anymore, once I thought about how that really doesn't apply to all the episodes I've seen.

Robot Chicken season 9's release date has been confirmed! I'M SO EXCITED! I might even mark October 8th on my phone's calendar as "Walking Dead Robot Chicken special" to make sure I don't forget to record it on our DVR. You know that giddy feeling you got when you were a child because the next My parents are huge Walking Dead fans and they are looking forward to watching it as well. I showed them the trailer and right now, they are probably just as excited as I am for the special. They like Walking Dead, I like Robot Chicken;with the three of us together, we'll be able to explain the scenes to each other that makes us go,
"Ummm, WUT!?" because one of us doesn't know much about Walking Dead or Robot Chicken.

Saw a video on YouTube tonight about the oldest living man in the US (and the oldest living US war veteran), and I must say that it's very impressive. Although it's from 2015, he's still going strong today as a supercentenarian, and I think he still even drives!
