I think the fact that there was no clear-cut favorite for the Republicans at the beginning created a vacuum for him to take over. If it hadn't been 17 people, and just Rubio/Kasich/Cruz against Trump, the primary votes wouldn't have been split and the big money donor backing would have found its way to one candidate, which then would have dug up some of the stuff that's bothering Trump now. But since there was such a large crowd, it was tough to stand out, and the loudest guy got the attention.
And that's another thing too: how come the Republicans had umpteen different candidates to choose from and the Democrats only had two? I didn't feel confident in either Hillary or Bernie.

My guess is most Dem hopefuls figured Hillary wouldn't be beaten and decided it wasn't worth it.

And funnily enough, it seems like most other Dems I know are still butthurting over Bernie not getting the nominations . . . I mean, seriously, I see all kinds of things all over Facebook all the time about why Bernie should have gotten it, why there needed to be a recount to make sure Bernie really did get it, Bernie this, Bernie that, Bernie, Bernie, Bernie.

Not so much a full-on rant, but Kristen Bell never does anything in her movies, so why give her a TV show (and opposite Ted Danson at that)? Talk about a show about nothing.
Generally I agree with you. Kristen seems to give pretty boring performances (although it probably has more to do with the characters she plays), but upon watching a few episodes of her new show, I can say she actually gives a pretty good performance. And I actually kind of like the show; it has a few flaws, but I still like it.

And that brings a couple of other things to mind:

1. How many shows has Ted Danson had since CHEERS and BECKER anyway? I actually remember a joke (from, like, ten years ago) that he's pretty much become Frankenstein's Monster at this point.

2. Had Melissa McCarthy not unnecessarily become a big star in recent years, would they have even bothered with a GILMORE GIRLS reboot (especially, considering, Lauren Graham's already starring in another show for cable right now anyway)? Kind of like how EVAN ALMIGHTY had to be a sequel to BRUCE ALMIGHTY because Steve Carell (as Evan) just happened to be a minor supporting character in the original?

Holy crud! For some reason I never even pieced together that the guy from "Cheers", "The Good Place" and CSI were all the same guy, lol.

Also, I just looked it up and I counted that he has been a regular in about eight different shows, some of them at the same time. Still can't believe he's 68, he looks incredible.

I think Drumph has skyrocketed to new levels of idiocy, I mean, my gosh, just in the past twenty-four hours alone, he's gone full-on Nutsy Fagin over like four different issues:

1. Since he's trailing behind in the polls (not by much, though), he decides to take the opportunity to reach out to one of the groups of voters that he hates: blacks. He's suddenly decided that he understands how blacks in America feel ignored and neglected, so he's decided that if blacks vote for him, he won't ignore and neglect them, "like Democrats do." Never mind the fact that this year alone, anytime a white cop shoots and kills a black person, the GOP immediately weighs in on the incidents with crap like, "well, it's black people's fault anyway for hating white people," or, "this never would have happened if white people didn't wholesale import black people into this country in the first place."

2. Election fraud. Yeah, he's still on that train. And according to him, it's still Hillary's fault, because in his swelled-up mind, there's no possible, conceivable reason that he's trailing behind in the polls . . . unless it's because:

3. His own party is sabotaging him. Okay, seriously, this is his new blame game now: since he's trailing behind in the polls, now it's not only Hillary's fault (according to him), but now it's also because his own party has decided to turn against him and are trying to sabotage him (again, this is according to him). That whole issue down in Texas where the voting machines were suddenly glitched because there was no option for Texas Republicans to vote for Drumph? That apparently was the GOP trying to sabotage Drumph's chance at the presidency.

4. His level of desperation of wanting to be president is . . . there's almost no words for how low his level of desperation has become. I mean, it was ridiculous enough last week when the entire GOP was trying to immediately repeal the 19th Ammendment to prevent women from voting since Drumph would win on men's votes alone, but now Drumph himself is ordering the election go ahead and be completely canceled and that they just go ahead and declare him the winner (even though, again, he's trailing behind in the polls anyway). His immaturity is beyond that of a schoolyard bully, he's seriously got the mentality of a toddler at this point.

And while we're on the subject of women voters . . . how can women even still support this guy after all of the nasty and inappropriate things he's been saying about them all this time? When I see some of the women who are supporting him, they clearly would never measure up to his ridiculous and cheauvinistic standards of what female beauty is support to be!

I'm just going to cut to the quick here...

South Park basically said it best. All the horrid racist things he said and the whole "derp I can rape anyone I want because famous!" comments was the line they drew? I'm not surprised that only a handful of GOP women voters said "nope" and left, while a bunch of others don't care how horrible this guy is, he's Republican so Republican I vote. And still others essentially say "I want awful because we need a leader that's actually a dictator, but agrees with us." Usually I don't gang up on voters since it's the politicians and lobbyists that usually deserve all the scorn and hate. But in this instance, the voters are indefensible. Sure, a good half of Drumph voters are only voting because they hate Hillary that much, and that's a counter to those who are only voting Hillary because they hate Drumph that much. And the difference is, at least the hate voters on his side are motivated, where as the Dems that could have turned this election into an instant Hillary win are still butthurt Bernie didn't get the nomination. But it's the core group that believes what Drumph is selling, the same people he walked his empty suit to and pandered to and got conspiracy theories from. The dangerous vocal minority that poisoned the based all the way back in 2008 when Third Term Bush Yesman and his Vice President Starscream Palin lost for being a freaking Bush Yesman.

Drumph is the culmination of the Glen Beck, Fox News, Tea Party, Confederate Flag waving, War on Christmas believing, entitled, spoiled worst part of the far right of the Republican voters. The ones that think that if a majority of a country wants something a certain way that goes against them, they're living in a dictatorship, but want to impose a dictatorship that they agree with and call it "Freedom." And the worst part...the absolute worst part is this isn't even an American thing. All over the world, these spoiled, entitled failures of human beings can't look down at themselves and say "hey! You screwed up your own life!" and blame everyone else, go on message boards run by racists, and come out with Nazi-like beliefs even if they didn't have any in the first place because they're the heroes of their own lives and everything's some sort of conspiracy against them. And all over the world...Brexit, the Philippine President that calls everyone's mother a ho, far right parties gaining traction all over Europe...it's frightening. It's like some force wants us to go into WW III, but now everyone's going to have a Mussolini if not outright Hitler. This is the same thing that brought those jerks into power, bringing jerks into power. The internet has been the worst thing to happen to politics. There's nothing but bubbles and filters, and if things don't line up with a crazy crackpot conspiracy theory about Bible Aliens and Lizard Men, it's allllllll lllllllies.

And the worst part of this is, we have so many other people online that are disgusted by stupid, meaningless crap that get overly offended and outraged over the slightest thing. They're well meaning and all, but I just don't get why a freaking monster like Drumph isn't further behind in the polls when the same exact people are calling Disney an evil, racist corporation because their the guy the Rock plays in Moana costume for boys is "cultural appropriation." I've been saying for years that it's hypocritical and freaking outright stupid that when a celebrity says the gay slur that begins with "F" they just about lost their career, but a politician who actually has homophobic designs for the country keeps getting voted back in! You can't whine about "Religious Freedom" bills if you've said "awww, no one's stupid enough to fill the other 2 branches of government with Republicans" and stayed home 2010 and 2014. If you want all this social justice, get off the *&^% computer and DO SOMETHING! Vote horrible people out of office. Don't let more horrible people back in office. Don't say "derrr...they're both equally horrible" then whine louder than anyone when Drumph comes in because not voting against him is essentially letting him in.

I'm not saying that the bunch of crazy, hateful, monstrous followers won't disappear forever if he doesn't win. I'm just saying do your part to make sure these guys keep losing relevance until their hateful bullcrap dies out. if not, you only have yourselves to blame when the far right takes away freedoms left and right.

Finally, here's a non-political rant, but gah, I can't stand this Brave Wilderness guy on YouTube. He claims to be a real animal expert, but I swear he's like a sketch show parody of animal experts . . . and an unfunny sketch show parody of animal experts at that - always intentionally ******* animals off to bite, sting, attack him, all for the sake of entertainment and "don't try this at home" hijinks.
