Can Count or Phillip closed this thread? Basically I see this as the Artie Kermit situation.

You know I really think Bob should have kept quite about all of this. I mean Sesame has been through a lot already with the Kevin stuff, and then Jerry's passing, and then Joey leaving the show.
I mean it like some have been saying the older characters have been slowly fading out anyway. They could have parted ways quietly, and did none of this would have happened.
Bob didn't really do anything wrong. As has been the case - and likely always will be - the media made a huge deal out of the situation.

Not only that, but of course, in this day and age of social media, something like this blows way out of proportion.

It's always simpler if the oppressed keep their mouths shut.

Mr. McGrath, Mr. Orman, and Mr. Delgado, I want to apologize for any disrespect you may have seen. You all devoted years of your lives educating and entertaining us. I appreciate it and want you to be on Sesame Street for as long as you want to be! My loyalties are with you and the majority of Sesame Street fans feel the same way! God bless you!

Funny I found this on Facebook; I believe I just recently pointed this out several posts ago:

What's worse is how outside media reported on this. Even more sensationalistic...and much, much later.

I don't think so. No one is being nearly as angry or as rude as they were on the Artie thread.
I see it as no one really saying anything different than they did a few pages ago, and any attempt to cool a flame war down and or convince anyone otherwise is just pointless, and it'll just be the same "BWAAAAHHHH!!! AGEISM!!!" for the next 10 pages.

And frankly, no matter what, 50 *&^%in' year old kid's show. Could have replaced the entire cast with Korean CGI with a Canadian voice cast. Wasn't. Cast members that were barely on the show the past 10 or more years for whatever reason haven't been called back. No one's saying squat about Leela or Susan, but the three guys (2 of whom Susan's been on the show longer, just sayin') is where the outrage lies. On the other hand, there's a show called WallyKazam, there's a show called Henry Hugglemonster, there's even a show called Katie and Mim Mim. You know there's way too many preschool shows when they start sounding like a Justin Roiland bit from an Interdimentional Cable episode of Rick and Morty. Or for those over the age of 40, Jerry Lewis sounding nonsense words, I guess?

If they fired Loretta Long too, it is every bit as shameful. However, that is not my understanding of the facts. If anyone has evidence about Dr. Long being fired, please enlightened us and I will be sure to advocate for her as well!

"Today
reported that Loretta Long, who plays Gordon's wife Susan, is also remaining on the show."

But know this: you can cut me off from the civilized world, you can incarcerate me with two moronic cellmates, you can torture me with your thrice-daily swill, but you cannot break the spirit of a Winchester. My voice shall be heard from the wilderness, and I shall be delivered from this fetid and festering sewer. :smirk:
