The best to go for is a high quality shaggy fur the right colour and boil it to get he right texture. It's got to be good quality though or otherwise it will just shrivel up.

Cool. Let me know what happens when you boil the fur, if you do that. Some furs respond better than others.

Hopefully, it wont need boiling, as it is fairly textured already.

I picked up a halloween gorilla costume that I plan to use on a future Rowlf build. It's not perfect but it's pretty good for a first attempt. It's his nose that I struggle with. I've read the threads and various ways to do it....crayola model magic, fimo, air dry clay, wood.... but I believe this to be the hardest part.
