Hi Guys,
The Gonzo is from the roof top scene as well as the lawnmower scenes. It is not a hand puppet as it has alum. legs the arms have wire in them to make them stay were you put them. There are also lights in the eyes that still work. There is some deterioration of the foam in his mouth but that should be expected with its age.

As far as Pepe he is full of servos and a radio receiver and if you have the controller it would work very well. The arms are not possable other than what you see in the photos. All tho the hands do have wires in them so they can hold onto things.

There is also a Tin Thing (Gonzo) animatronic head from "Muppets Wizard of OZ" that is also in this auction. I do not know how much the starting bid is. The Tin Thing head is also fully working as long as you have a controller. It is from when they take him apart and his head is on the ground.

I know all of this as I am the one who did a little restoration on all of them. I wish I had the money for them myself.

If you have any questions I will try and answer them if I can.

Mike
Did any of the Muppet items have "Property of The Muppets" or "Disney" production tags or reference numbers on them? I doubt Pepe is screen used from "The Muppets" movie because he was only in one scene and he just raised his arms, which was probably done by rods as there was no jerky motion that you get with animatronics. I can however see Pepe animatronic scenes in "Muppets Wizard of Oz" and going by that he needed slight repairs seems to make sense to be from 2005 rather than 2011. Your thoughts?

I did not see any tags from what I had opened on them. As far as the Pepe I would agree with you on it being from oz. But the owner says it was from Muppets 2011.

I will say one thing. Many years back, there was a guy who did a talk at the Jim Henson traveling exhibit, he created a lot of the animatronics. He said that the animatronic Pepe from Oz went missing. Someone took it off the set with them...

Wow, that is pretty sad, I have never heard of a muppet theft. I wonder who stole it, maybe it was The Swedish Chef attempting to make shrimp . He was also jealous that Pepe got more screen time than him in the film.

Yeah, he had said that when he was demonstrating an animatronic Kermit and and animatronic Rat (used during the kitchen scene in TMTM I believe). I remember him saying "He is probably sitting on someones Piano right now". Haha, I can't believe this might actually be the one!!!

Hahahaha panic ye not, I don't think I'll be bidding unless they were going for something criminally low. I now have my sights set on new additions to my collection - my office may have to be widened...
