Louis really needed to make a cameo. I can imagine him providing commentary on the muppet ladder bit.''These is the first time EVER that the muppet ladder stunt had actually succeeded!!!'' or something like that.

Actually, Blue Frackle, Green Frackle and Walleye Pike do appear in the film, as prisoners at the gulag.

Anyhow, here's some characters that I wanted to see in MMW:
-Lenny the Lizard
-Leroy, T.R., Catgut and Rover Joe (they should all be added to the orchestra)
-Brewster
-Gladys
-Louis Kazagger
-Hilda
-George the Janitor
-Baskerville the Hound
-Muppy
-Rufus
-Gorgon Heap
-Big V
-Timmy Monster
-DogLion
-Fletcher Bird
-Clueless Morgan
-Polly Lobster
-Mad Monty
-Old Tom
-Svengali
-King Rupert
-Featherstone
-Splurge
-Taminella Grinderfall
-Mordecai Sledge, Lardpork, Mean Floyd & Caleb Siles

I also think that Mean Mama or even Betsy Bird could've been Christoph Waltz's dance partner instead of Sweetums in drag.

If James Bobin gets to direct another Muppet movie in the future, I hope that he'll take all of this to heart and get all of these characters rebuilt.

Was Undertaker a prisoner at the gulag? Because at one point in the film, I saw a white nose sticking out of some cell bars that looked like his nose.

Or we could just be THANKFUL for the amount of Muppets that they brought back in both the previous film and MMW instead of whining about how "Background Character #3" in Muppet Treasure Island didn't make a cameo. I honestly think the directors could care less. And even if they did care, it'd cost a fortune to rebuild maybe half those characters.

Aretha, the Inkspots and the Cackler couldn't appear, since they're Fraggle Rock characters and thus still owned by The Jim Henson Company.

^Agreed. Muppets I would have liked to have seen as background characters during the "Big House" musical number were Mad Monty, DogLion, Old Tom, Mulch, Zondra, and Luncheon Counter Monster.

I actually liked how there were less characters shoved in there this time. Though it would have been something if Strangepork got a line in somewhere, considering Link had several scenes and lines in the film.
