Yeah, I scoffed when I saw the trailer say it was so realistic, I'd feel like I'm there.

And one dinosaur asked for a medic. In the land before medics.

I really don't think this new film is a facsimile of Disney's Dinosaur. This film has been in the works for years and stems from the documentary Walking with Dinosaurs. That said, it looks awful. Just in its own right. :stick_out_tongue:
It's probably not a facsimile, but it has eerie parallels of suckitude. I like John Leguizamo and all, but the character he plays looks far more annoying than Jar Jar Binks ever could. Just like the extremely annoying (and plug fugly) monkey from the Disney film.

Of course, Disney's film made money (for whatever reason). This one didn't.

Just saw Wolf of Wall Street. Very good movie, long, long, long, long movie, but very good. It did spur some dislike of Jonah Hill though; he just does nothing for me.

don't forget the land before time
Completely different movie.

Plus, Land Before Time was good. At least before the barrage of DTV cheapquels that even Disney finds embarrassing.

I saw Anchorman 2 last week, BTW... I just couldn't stop laughing. it was actually quite painful, and gummi bears are something you really shouldn't eat during a comedy. They become quite the choking hazard.

I saw American Hustle today; it was a lot of fun. All the actors did an excellent job, especially Amy Adams and Christian Bale, and the story has a lot of twists and turns that keep you guessing. I'd highly recommend it, unless you don't like strong language.

Finally got to see SAVING MR. BANKS last night, it was pretty darn good if I do say so myself; I wasn't sure if I would be able to buy Tom Hanks as Walt Disney, somehow half the time I see Tom Hanks in a movie, I just can't get invested in the character he's playing, and it always comes off to me as Tom Hanks pretending to be someone else (if that makes sense), but I guess I'd have to say that Hanks was a lot more convincing that I had thought, because after a while, I wasn't even thinking about it, I was invested too much into the actual story to concern myself with it. Number of familiar faces in it too, like Paul Giamatti and Jason Schwartzman. Makes me feel bad for never actually seeing all of MARY POPPINS in its entirety.

One thing that really interested me was the first-name basis at Disney, and that Walt himself hated being refered to as Mr. Disney... there's a documentary that pops up on cable from time to time, and I remember when talking about THE MICKEY MOUSE CLUB, he wanted the Mousekateers to call him, "Uncle Walt", but those kids had so much respect and admiration for him that they couldn't help but refer to him as Mr. Disney.

I saw both Saving Mr. Banks and Frozen recently, and I am thoroughly pleased with both films. Saving Mr. Banks' story is interesting and made me want to re watch Mary Poppins again. The legitimacy of the events of the movie, from what I've read, are not 100% accurate, but regardless, it was a great film and gave me incite into the production process of that movie.
Frozen looked amazing, although some of the songs were kind of meh, but the film made up for it with an awesome story that left me surprised with the different twists on the "classic" formula in most Disney animated films. Also the short before it, Get a Horse, was pretty clever as well. I think Frozen deserves it's top spot at the box office.
