Jimmy must have been sad knowing that Kevin wasn't gonna be there. But as soon as Ryan had Elmo sing, "Can you tell Elmo how to get", you could see him smile and think "Elmo hasn't changed a bit."

Yeah. I'm glad someone posted that video there. I didn't know about this until now so I didn't set my VCR. As for Ryan as Elmo, I totally agree. A lot of people on You Tube have complained about how different Elmo sounded and in all honesty, I totally disagree. Ryan is pretty spot on with the voice and personality. I probably wouldn't have noticed a difference.

That appearance was great! I'm so glad to see Jimmy, The Roots, and The Muppets of Sesame Street to play a special version of the theme song.

Not to mention how Matt's doing a great job with the Count. That "AH-HA!" during the rap shows me that Matt has an in-depth understanding of the character, and is really carrying on Jerry Nelson's legacy.

I love this video. So much. Especially Snuffy's appearance and Cookie eating all the instruments. It's great to see different generations of Muppeteers working together (Caroll as Big Bird & Ryan as Elmo!).
