The Dodos!

Ch. 1
Legend tells of a bird so rare, so valuable, and so intellgient all the hunters have given up the chase...but this story is NOT about that bird. Is this bird rare? Yes. Valuable. I suppose so. Intelligent...eh.....probably not. Oh don't worry. This should still be a very fun story, and it all begins with the Dodos!
"Hey Daddy,"Marie said. "Somebody's coming towards the house...and I think it's a stranger!"She was busy watching through her binoculars for intruders she was watching waaaaaaaaay too many crime shows.
"Really? It looks a lot like your brother...all the same better be safe!"said her father.
"Hey hey hey it's me!"said Donnie open up. "Unless this is the wrong house....they all look the smae!"Donnie looked around, and saw it was his family and went inside.
"Hey it is you!"Marie said.
"Yeah!"Donnie said.
"Look everyone!"Mommy Dodo said. "Free Worm Cookies!"
"I don't think that's a good idea!"said Marie.
"Why not?"asked Donnie.
"They don't have any with chocolate chips!"Marie said.
"Oh don't worry there they are!"said Daddy.
"Oh boy!"the Dodos said together picking at the cookies greedily not noticing a rope was slowly being tugged.
"AAHH!"they screamed falling into a hole.
"Oh no we're stuck!"said Mommy.
"Oh look more worms!"Marie said. The silly birds starting picking at their meal not realizing their tummies are what got them into trouble in the first place.

Ch. 2
"We're stuck!"said Marie.
"What should we do?!"asked Donnie.
"Um....I don't remember...we don't live here..do we?"asked Marie.
"No we live in the house!"said Daddy.
"OH right so let's get up there!"said Mommy giggling.
"We can't fly!"said Marie. "And Peter Pan's not here!"
"Well in that case! HELP! HELP HELP!"yelled the Dodos.
"I'm here!"said a man in a colorful suit covered in feathers. "I saw that hole and saw you fall in and I'm here to help!"
"How unsuspicious!"said Donnie.
"It's good I knew about that hole hours before you fell in there!"the man said.
"THat can't mean anything other than the simple fact he knew!"Mommy said.
"And I always get birds out of holes!"he said.
"Oh boy!"said Daddy as he pulled them out. THe next thing they knew..he opened the door to his truck.
"I'll take you to the Worm Burger!"he offered.
"Oh boy! Never mind that we are overly suspicious of family, but that's a total stranger that could do lots of bad stuff! Let's go!"said Marie. The next thing they knew the door was locked behind them and the man laughed.
"You know...I don't think we're getting that dinner,"said Donnie. All the other dodos nodded in agreement.

Ch. 3
"Ooh! Red car!"Donnie said.
"Blue car!"said Marie.
"Blue car!"Donnie said.
"I'm Blue Car!"Marie compalined.
"Oh you always hog blue car!"said Donnie.
"You were blue car last time!"
"No that was you!"
"You!"
"You!"
"ENOUGH!"the man yelled.
"Hey who are you anyway?"
"I'm Mr. Birddog"he said.
"OOH! I LOVE BIRDDOGS WITH LOTS AND LOTS OF KETCHUP!"said Marie.
"No...I'm called that because I'm a bird hunter!"said Birddog.
"Oh! Catch any birds today?"asked Mommy being her not-so-smart self.
"Hey we're birds!"said Marie. "I bet you didn't realize that!"
"I did...no hard feelings?"asked Birddog.
"Of course not! It's not like we're the ones you kidnapped!"said Daddy.
"Um..yes you are!"Birddog said.
"Oh my gosh! We've been kidnapped! Where are the Muppet Guardians?!"asked Donnie.
"Hi!"said Dominic.
"Hello!"said Lani.
"Hiya!"said Jaz and Colette.
"We're very sorry, but this is our paid vacation time, and we are not to star in this story! Bye!"said Jaz.
"That's where...."said Donnie. "Hey do you think we'll get vacation time after this story?"
"I hope so!"said Marie. "I want to surf."
"Awfully hard to do,"said Birddog. "In a cage!"
"Oh hi Mr. Birddog! I forgot all about you!"said Marie. "Oh wait....uh-oh..."

Ch. 4
"Wow!"said Donnie. "THE ZOO! THE ZOO! I LOVE THE ZOO! ZOO!"
"You're the new...guests!"yelled Birddog as he pushed them in. "All four of you are the last known dodos.....and you'll make me rich!"
"Wow! Greedy bird catcher!"said Daddy.
"Yeah we watched this movie before,"said Marie who was watching Rio on a laptop.
"Not the movie! This is real!"said Mommy.
"Oh!"Marie said. "Hey we are in a bird catcher's house!"
"I was framed! I was framed!"said a group of parrots.
"We were too!"said Donnie. "I bet the Butler did it!"
"We're not in here for a crime!"said one bird.
"DICTATORSHIP! NO TRIAL!"said Marie. Apparantly she watched too many court shows for her own good too.
"We're here, because we're so few,"said the leader of the parrots.
"Now this guy is hating on minority groups!"said Donnie!
"Yes! We're supposed to show kids to be tolerant!"said Daddy.
"Geez...let's plan our escape without those guys,"said an ostrich. The other birds nodded.

Ch. 5
"What are we going to do?"asked Big Bird.
"I don't know! Hi Big Dodo!"said Marie.
"Oh hi Marie, but I'm Big Bird again!"BIg Bird said.
"Oh!"Marie said. "What are you doing here?"
"Oh I got caught too....and it really isn't very nice here,"said Big Bird. "They don't let you out even to go potty! Even if you say pretty please..and I don't really like it when you say please...and people are still not very nice!"
"Geez...where's this guy from Sesame Street?"asked a polka-dotted-chicken.
"YEAH! HOW DID YOU GUESS?!"asked Big Bird.
"Big Bird is released on account of being a childhood icon!"said one of Birddog's henchmen.
"Yay! Thank you! Would you pretty pretty please let my friends go too?"asked Big Bird.
"No,"the villain said.
"Oh...well it's impolite to grab, and I don't like being rude, so bye-bye! Good luck guys! Besides..the story would be over too soon!"said Big Bird skipping outside.
"What was the point of that?"asked one bird.

Ch. 6
"Well it's time to introduce ourselves!"the parrot said. "I'm Edward..these are my friends...I don't know their names...they change them every time....they repeat whatever they hear since they think it sounds smart.!"
"Worms..."Donnie muttered in his sleep.
"WORMS! WORMS! WORMS!"yelled the parrots. Donnie woke up with a start.
"I'm Ellen!"the ostrich said. "The opera singing ostrich!"She started to sing loudly startling the dodos.
"I'm Tom and this is my brother Jeff,"said a brightly colored bird. "We just like the status of looking like this...we're really pigeons!"
"Heck! I'm not one to insult people based on occupation!"said Mommy. "I think I was a turkey at one point..."
"Oh,"said Jeff rolling his eyes.
"Well that about does it,"said Edward. "You now know us all!"
"Yay!"cheered Donnie and Marie.
"Well it was nice getting to know you...three days before we're shipped off to zoos"said Jeff.

Ch. 7
"WE"RE GOING TO BE WHAT?!"asked the Dodos shocked.
"Shipped off...."said Ellen. "We are so dooooooooooooooomed!"she sang.
"Encore!"said Marie foolishly.
"No no no encore!"said Edward. "We need to find a way out!"
"DUN DUN DUN!"the Dodos said.
"Can you guys think quietly?"asked Ellen.
"We do neitehr of those things!"said Donnie. "Especially not..'think'"
"That's obvious, but we need a plan!"said Edward.
"WORM!"yelled Marie squeezing herself through the bars to catch it and eat it.
"HEY YOU"RE OUT! GET THE KEYS!"said Ellen.
"No thank you!"Marie said. "I prefer worms, and bird dogs...not the one that kidnapped us.."
"GET THE KEYS AND UNLOCK THE DOORS!!"yelled the birds.
"You don't have to shout!"Marie said grabbing the keys."OPEN DOORS OPEN!"THis was going to take a while...

Ch. 8
"Hey! I got it stuck in the hole!"Marie said finally getting it right. "OH NO I BROKE THE DOOR!"
"You opened it..."said Edward. "Let me do it!" He opened the other doors freeing the birds.
"Action packed escape starts...now!"said Ellen. She ran through a door using her huge size.
"WOW! I WANT TO DO THAT!"Donnie said running into a hard concrete door. "Ouch..."
"Oh now we're resorting to slapstick!"said Edward. "Come on!"
"Hey what do we do now?"asked Mommy.
"We party!"said Marie.
"First we all find a way back to our homes, and we do it together..."said Ellen.
"Oooh together!"said the Dodos cheering.
"You go home...first,"said Edward.
