Aren't you now curious to see what it has to say about whatever it is that you technically are? :D
  2. Yuna Leonhart Well-Known Member

You mean what it has to say about witches? Or about monsters and demons in general? Well, I wouldn't mind taking a look.
  3. Sgt Floyd Well-Known Member

Yeah witches, but I'm still not convinced I would call you a "witch" :p
  4. Yuna Leonhart Well-Known Member

    *glares at Sarge*
And what should I do to convince you that I'm a witch? Apparate? Turn you into a toad? Make the Draught of The Living Death?
Lola p and The Count like this.
  5. Sgt Floyd Well-Known Member

Thats not what I mean at all. Its just witch sounds so generic. There has to be a proper name for it :p
  6. Yuna Leonhart Well-Known Member

Well, what else can we call it? Black Mage, White Mage or Red Mage, which happen to be Final Fantasy jobclasses?
  7. Sgt Floyd Well-Known Member

Check the book? There's probably a whole subsection on different kinds of witches :p
  8. Yuna Leonhart Well-Known Member

Well, I've got nothing to lose.
*takes the book and browses through*
Ah, there's something. Hm, different kinds of mages.
    *mumbles some passages aloud*
Black Mage uses offensive spells and spells to cause negative status effects on the enemy. White Mage is a healer and can cause positive status effectts on team members. A White mage can also cast Holy, a powerful offensive spell. Then there's the Red Mage, a combination of both. Magus, Devout and Sage are the respective upgraded versions. There's also the Blue Mage, who can learn enemy skills and the Time Mage, whose specialities are increasing and decreasing speed and manipulating foreces of gravity.
Hm, interesting. Now, which one would apply to me?
  9. Sgt Floyd Well-Known Member

    Red maybe?
  10. Yuna Leonhart Well-Known Member

    Yeah, I think so, too.
    *continues browsing*
Oh, there's something about Summoners, too. Let me see, they call powerful creatures to aid them in battle. They can use Black Magic and White Magic, although most use the latter. There were also Summoners using the former or both.
Cool. But I don't find anything about them having horns.
  11. Sgt Floyd Well-Known Member

Well it probably doesn't know everything...maybe you are part satyr or something...
  12. Hubert Well-Known Member

Yeah, if it did know everything, two weird creatures with pointy snout things would come out every time you went up to it...

"You are in the presence of, the all-wise, all-knowing, creature book! Nyaahh!"
  13. Yuna Leonhart Well-Known Member

The thing with the horns was an allusion to the fact that Summoners in Final Fantasy III, V and IX have horns :p

But I think I would trust the book more if we had found it in an ancient library.
  14. Sgt Floyd Well-Known Member

    I never played FF so....

Look, the thing was free. Who wrote it?

    *checks author page*

Hm...no name but-*stands there stunned, people start staring*
  15. Yuna Leonhart Well-Known Member

Don't worry, I don't expect everyone to play it. I just couldn'z help with the reference.

The author must be very shy.
*looks surprised at the stunned Sarge and pokes her (or are you male now?)*
    What's wrong?
  16. Sgt Floyd Well-Known Member

(My avatar is from a game no one has ever played so we are probably even ;))

It doesnt give a name but...it was written by the guy who ran the lab I'm from...I'm sure of it, listen to this description..."The author of this book has chosen to remain anonymous. Due to the nature of his work, the engineering and studying of mythological creatures, it is dangerous to reveal any information that could possibly used to track him down."
  17. Yuna Leonhart Well-Known Member

    (I think so, too ;))

Hm, I don't know what to think of it. Maybe see what other things the guy did?
  18. Sgt Floyd Well-Known Member

We should not be talking about this in public...people are starting to stare. It certainly doesn't help we are still standing outside this store...
  19. Hubert Well-Known Member

But remember, there could be multiple people doing that exact same thing...the description is a bit vague.

But I'll bet there is some clue somewhere in the book that can tell us more...like if he put information in it that we know that he only would know...but now I'm curious...why would he write a book on this?

EDIT: Your goal in life is to ziffel me, isn't it?
  20. Sgt Floyd Well-Known Member

    Yes, yes it is :p

Ok, so how far away are we from the apartment? We need to take a better look at this thing
