You would think that if Steve was sick, that they would have just made it a solo-Piggy act. Or had Hasselhoff sing it with her. To be fair, unless it was Jim or Steve doing the performing, it was most likely going to be met with a "WHAT? That was terrible!" Let's be honest.

You can tell it's not Steve purely from the lack of Kermit dialogue - it's 90% Piggy. If it was really Steve the scenes would have been written much better and Kermit would be doing more than nod. Jeremy

Craig's comments seemed to indicate that won't be happening anytime soon, but he made no specific reference to it. But, if there's a market for it - and there's money to be made - I'm sure the 3 companies can work together to make it happen.

The screenings don't necessarily travel with the exhibit. Each individual facility comes up with its own activities. For example, Orlando has film screenings. Atlanta had appearances by Steve Whitmire and Dave Goelz - with Kermit and Gonzo. I'm sure whatever they decide to come up with...
