This little fellow is a complete blank. I have not given him a name nor a personality. I enjoy the build and am not so much interested in performing. He is hand-sewn, with an exception to the arms/hands. My next projects are all hand-sewn with an exception to any internal sleeves etc.
I desperately (dramatic flair) want to use my "Henson" stitch to sew the hands of my current project, but I cannot figure out how to lay out the pattern in a way that makes it easy to dexterously maneuver about. I have machine sewn the arms/hands (only!) of my previous projects and I do not like...
I am a new builder. I started this spring and have been enthusiastically attempting to learn everything I possibly can from the wonderfully helpful people I have encountered here and on the interwebs in general.
I thought it would be fun to post pictures of my works in progress and techniques...
I noticed in many Henson workshop photos the prescence of heat or hot-air guns at the builder's workstations. Does anyone know what these might have been used for? My first thought was they could be used when working with Wonderflex, but I am not sure how long that material has been around.

This is Fred Felton. Fred is a head. He was made using the Project Puppet "Rotondo" pattern and is my very 1st attempt (other than a few "sock" puppets). His head is constructed of reticulated foam, which I regret wasting on a prototype.
