Muppety Capitalism: Muppet Monopoly coming soon

No need to apologize, Beau, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. I truly love the first two Muppet movies and the TV specials, especially Muppet Family Christmas, which I have on tape and watch every Xmas without fail. :)

Muppety Capitalism: Muppet Monopoly coming soon

And no differences of opinion are allowed here? What's your prob? Didn't I say I like the movies? And FYI, I have quite a muppet collection, including the Muppet Babies figures complete with their vehicles (tricycle, race car, skateboard) that McDonald's gave away some time ago, a Kermit doll my...

    Cheap(ish) Disney Muppet T-Shirts

Do they spell Fozzie "Fozee" and Piggy "Piggee?" Heh. The shirts themselves are kinda cute though. :) And half price seems reasonable. It's so stupid when T-shirts made of material that won't survive half a dozen washings are priced at twenty bucks or more. Ripoff!

Kermit on Hollywood Squares: April 28-May 2

When I was in college, I was astonished by how popular "The Price Is Right" was among college students. A bunch of them would flock into the lunchroom and watch it just about every day. I'm not sure what the appeal was. Maybe they thought it was campy or something, or liked to try to figure out...

Muppety Capitalism: Muppet Monopoly coming soon

You mean it isn't? Does Janice get made fun of because she's built like a drinking straw? Frankly, I didn't care much for the show at times. And if you think that's odd, consider how poorly the show's reruns do in the ratings, which is why it's seldom shown today. Frankly I much prefer the...

Muppety Capitalism: Muppet Monopoly coming soon

j Oh, they'd care all right. And why? Because it's women who get the most criticism about weight, far more so than men. Doesn't matter if the woman is Camryn Mannheim or Calista Flockhart, they get it. At a time when much of the nation is struggling with weight problems of one kind or...

Kermit on Hollywood Squares: April 28-May 2

Oh, I'm not blaming Kermit, really; I'm blaming his writers. I know better than to blame a fictional character for anything, after all ;) I just wonder if the Muppet people know that. Reminds me of a story Chuck Jones, the brilliant Looney Tunes artist, once said about Porky Pig's slippage from...

Christmas Movie Bloopers on NBC's Funniest Outtakes 2

From Mediaweek.com: -Yesterday's Losers: NBC's Funniest Outtakes 2, Platinum (UPN), Watching Ellie (NBC), Less Than Perfect (ABC) UPN's soon-to-conclude Buffy, the Vampire Slayer averaged a 3.5/5 while 8 p.m. special, NBC's Funniest Outtakes 2, was only slightly better with a 4.6/7...

Kermit on Hollywood Squares: April 28-May 2

Why the Barker-bashing? He's a good guy from all accounts, and a strong animal activist. As for HS, it's deteriorated into a forum for celebrities to hype their latest products. It's boring at the best of times IMO. When Kermit is on, unfortunately it's downright obnoxious. :(

Muppety Capitalism: Muppet Monopoly coming soon

You mean they aren't? Gee doesn't Kermit make fun of Piggy because of her looks? And don't a lot of you here seem to get a kick out of that?  Me, I'd love to see Steve take the Kermit puppet and have him make a lot of Piggy fat jokes in front of an audience of women...

Kermit on Hollywood Squares: April 28-May 2

    >Tom Bergeron: In China, this movie was called "Six Naked Pigs," what do we know it as? Kermit: For me, that would be a very, very bad dream.< Uh, huh, like *Kermit* looks good naked, the little pig-bigot. Glad I missed this, as did most of America, no doubt, given HS' low...

Muppety Capitalism: Muppet Monopoly coming soon

Hmmm. Well, in THIS fan's opinion, "The Muppet Show" wouldn't have gotten where it - uh - got without Miss Piggy. She was by far the most popular character during the show's first run. Just the facts, ma'am. ;)

Eisner confirms Disney could buy Henson and Muppets soon

Here's more on Disney/Henson from Variety The Muppets may end up back in Hollywood, safely lodged in the Mouse House. That was the word last week out of Disney's shareholders meeting in Denver, where corporate chieftains confirmed the buzz. The assets of the Jim Henson Co. were snapped up...

    Academy Awards

Yeah, I saw it too. It was brief but cute. And Piggy looked terrific - it's a shame she's not looked that good since. Hey you guys at Henson - dump the short hair cuts, the frizzy perms, give her her big BIG blue eyes back and especially the long sexy blonde hair!!! It was also nice to hear...

Eisner confirms Disney could buy Henson and Muppets soon

Re: Re: Guys, Right-o, Luke. What I'm thinking is that Disney will buy the rights to all the non-Sesame Street Muppets, buy some of the assets, close down the main shops, and keep puppeteers like Eric and Steve on the payroll as a strictly for-hire basis - that is, if Disney decides to...
