Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I would love a Fozzie, but $600 is my limit. We have a mortgage, student loans, and a car payment that makes the "money is not object" option a non-option. Unless someone would like to donate some money to my husband and I........
You're right - I am sensitive. I'm a teacher, and I am tired of seeing first hand what our society is doing to children - our "future". I am offended that students associate the word "shot" with a bar instead of a doctor (true story - happened last week with a third grader). I am offended by...
I was incredibly dissapointed. My husband and I taped it because we were out for the evening, and we were really excited to watch it when we got home.
We made it through 15 minutes of the film before we were just too offended to go on. After we've had some time away from it, we will try and...
Me, too. Except that it may not have been exactly 1996 when I found the internet. I can't remember the year for sure anymore. But "Muppets" and "Dark Crystal" were two of my first searches.
I don't actually have internet at home because my computer has retired and is now a very expensive...
I play flute, but my husband is a music teacher and can play about EVERYTHING! Even accordian. My brother plays drums, which has made him a much bigger fan of the Muppets. Or at least, a bigger fan of Animal. :halo:
I don't know if anyone mentioned this yet, but here is what I fear is in store for the Muppets.
Disney has a nasty habbit of releasing its movies on DVD for a while and then pulling them off the shelves for what seems like a decade. So we're all saying, "Hooray for Muppet DVD's! Hooray for...
What I want: (and spelling is not my strong suit, especially with names, sorry)
* Nigel
* the Trombone player from the orchestra pit (for a larger band)
* Lewis Kazagger
* Bobby Benson and the Baby Band
* Manamana and Snowths (mini ones are nice, but aren't to scale with bigger figures)...
Ahh, the Young Ones. That was a great show. My favorite was, I think, called Boring where Dexy's Midnight Runners performed in one of the upstairs bedrooms.
ANYWAY, what I want is penguins. :zany: And also the fruits, vegitables, chickens, rats, and so forth. Ooo, generic pigs and monsters...
Reply: To buy or not to buy
As a former poor college student (now a poor college graduate), I would highly recommend buying these, especially if you are a big Muppet fan. I spent a month's paycheck on them a couple years ago and never regretted it! The quality is great and each disk has a...
I think that is very naive to say. To a non-muppet fan (and I have heard this from many), Robin looks like a minature Kermit. A frog is a frog, especially a naked one. Piggy and Annie Sue at least have some distinctively different facial features as well as their wardrobes. Also, it isn't fair...
I, too, would like to see her made. It isn't too much different than having a Kermit and a Robin, they would just need to make a noticable size difference.
Hey, this is even more obscure. What about Lydia the tatooed Pig?
*American Pie series
*8 Mile (I really hate -no, despise- rap, sorry if that offends anyone)
*Anything starring Vin Diesel
*Any Dr. Seuss remakes (Cat in the Hat included)
*Live action Scooby Doo
*Most Disney movie remakes -- Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, Flubber, and That Darn Cat were...
Top 5
Ralph Wiggum of the Simpsons (Yea, Sleep! That's when I'm a viking!)
Boomhower of King of the Hill (No idea how to spell that, sorry.)
Bobby of King of the Hill
Fry on Futerama
Jem (Whom I idolized when I was about 5.)
Top 5 Cartoon Shows (taking this a step further)
Simpsons...
I'm sorry. My boyfriend bought me three videos as a gift. Then when it came out on DVD, he was the one who encouraged me to buy them all, as long as I had enough money to pay bills. That must be rough. Has she seen the show? Does she know how wonderful it is? Perhaps Harry Belafonte will...
