I like it better than The Muppet Christmas Carol.

After doing that list I do feel surprised that I didn't include The Santa Clause or The Santa Clause 3, or Elf. I wonder if I should have neglected one or both of the Home Alone movies (they take place around Christmas, and I like to consider them Christmas movies, but should they be conbsidered Christmas films?). I had also wanted to include Deck the Halls, but then decided against it.

On the subject, here are my favorite non-Muppet Christmas movies, in alphabetical order.

1. A Christmas Story
2. Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (not a Christmas movie, but it was around Christmastime several years ago when I first saw it, and I kind of watch it every Christmas as a ritual)
3. Elf
4. Home Alone
5. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
6. Home Alone 3
7. On the 2nd Day of Christmas
8. The Santa Clause 2
9. Stalag 17 (it counts somewhat since it takes place during Christmastime)
10. Super Mario Bros. (same as Dodgeball)

To each his/her own, my friend. Remember that.

Here's my list:

Top 10 Christmas Specials/movies/Episodes:

10. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the original from the '60s, of course)
9. Rankin-Bass' Santa Claus is Comin' to Town (my favorite part is when the villain calls Santa Claus a "nonconformist and a rebel." There's a Santa Claus I can follow!)
8. Spongebob Christmas Special
7. Christmas Every Day (anyone else remember this? It was a Family Channel TV Movie from 1996)
6. Home Alone I and II (tie)
5. Just about every variation of A Christmas Carol (MCC is my favorite, but I especially like the ones with a woman in the Scrooge role, just because they offer an especially different take)
4. Full House's season 8 Christmas episode (it was the funniest and least cliched of their Christmas episodes, at least for the time it came out.
3. It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie
2. The Simpsons Episode "She of Little Faith" (the one where Lisa becomes a Buddhist). It means all the more to me now that I too am a Buddhist in a Christian family.
1. A Christmas Story (didn't see that coming, did ya?)

I was planning on listing the best Christmas episodes of TV shows, but now I'm trying to decide if I should make seperate lists for animated and live action shows.
