Is there a rule against negativity that I'm not aware of?
No there is not a rule against negativity here on the forums. Your thread (which I did not see) could have been deleted for several reasons of which can be found in the rules of the forum. What I would suggest would be send a private message to one of the forums staff, and ask them. That way the matter can be dealt with privately.

The reason your thread got deleted is, because as was stated in the deletion log, there's already an existing thread titled "The State of the Muppets" in the Classic Muppets section where you could/should have posted your comments instead.

In cases like this, is it possible to transfer his post over to that thread?
