Why do we love Gonzo?!?!

I think out of all the Muppets, Gonzo is the one quite a few of us can relate to. Almost this tragic Holden Caufield character, he feels isolated from everyone. I probably identify with him the most what with his creativity and inventiveness brimming with hardly anyone who cares...his alienation from people, etc.
