why did the chicken cross the road?

Does anybody remember a cartoon where a man keeps asking a chicken, "why did the chicken cross the road?" The chicken keeps responding with answers such as "He looked both ways, didn't he?" Eventually, the man asks, I guess one last time, and the chicken removes his mask, revealing that he's actually a duck, and says, "How should I know? I'm a duck".

I think I do remember that cartoon vaguely.

That clip aired sometime in the 80s...I thought the duck's missing the point was pretty funny.

I remember it as well, although my memory was of a rooster asking a hen rather than a human doing so.

It was definitely a rooster asking a hen, and yes, I remember that cartoon quite well. That was one of my favorites on Sesame Street as a kid.
