What's Facebook? Is that like Frappr Maps and MySpace.com?

It's generally described as being like an online yearbook, and encompasses colleges and high schools. People have profiles and pictures and groups and such. Naturally I started a Muppet Show group and was the one who broke the news of Jerry Juhl's death to all the Muppet groups (no one responded to it )

Yes, but an e-mail address corresponding with an educational institution is required, at least for the college version.
