I agree with you on that one. I would prefer it if most of the Muppets were real puppets with the exception of the occasional Horace D'Fly. It does make more sense than a combined group of CGI and puppetry. Also, the thing is that I don't want to see a shift to all-CGI because fabric, foam, and felt are what separate the Muppets from the vast number of CGI cartoons out there. It keeps them unique.Even that is a stretch for me. Maybe Waldo could come back, that's fine. But I would really like to see new characters in puppet form. It would kind of be odd having a bunch of puppets and then a few CGI characters.![]()
But I definitely would want to keep Waldo, too. He's my occasional Horace D'Fly because I grew up with Muppet*Vision 3D and his character. And the fact that Steve Whitmire uses that goofy voice for him makes me love him all the more.
