Who did this voice? (in Muppets from Space)

When the spaceship lands, there's an Alien Gonzo in a mask, who tells Gonzo to step into the light.

Who does that voice?

It's electronically altered, so it's hard to say, but to me it *almost* sounds like Jeffrey Tambor, which would be a cool 'extra' role for him.

Probably Bill Barretta, though.

Anyone know?
