What if Fozzie had appeared on Sesame Street?

And since he was Kermit's best friend as well as a very sweet, good-natured fellow, could you folks have seen Fozzie Bear showing up on Sesame Street for a quick cameo, like to assist Kermit with one of those lectures Grover would interrupt or to meet Kermit's pals in his neighborhood?

I happen to wish he appeared on the show as he's one of the few "adult" Muppets I think would have made quite a good educator for children.

I believe the question was, what if he Had appeared on the show and not what if he did appear on the show.

As an adult, I think that could have worked, but I don't think I would have been that thrilled as a kid. To me, Muppet Show Muppets were different than Sesame Street Muppets. Kermit was the only one who could really cross over in my mind.

Still, there would be possibilities that could have been explored with Fozzie, particularly if they put him with Oscar, who would make Statler and Waldorf look like Fozzie's fawning admirerers by comparison.

I disagree. The Muppet Show Muppets were more adult but Fozzie Bear, I think, could have crossed over to Sesame Street. Gonzo and Miss Piggy I don't see on Sesame Street at all. I don't see The Electric Mayhem Band or Sam the Eagle there either but Fozzie I can see on Sesame Street because he's sweet and timid and never unkind and would obviously do anything to help Kermit (which is how he probably would have shown up if he had, as a special guest during one of Kermit's lectures) and would probably care about educating children.

I could see Fozzie on SS, especially with the younger members. You don't have to be afraid to tell a bad joke with really young kids.

I didn't mean that it wouldn't have worked...I just liked to see Sesame Street Muppets in their place and Muppet Show Muppets in theirs. That's the only reason why I wouldn't have enjoyed it as a kid.

I like it when they merge, because it shows that they're a part of the whole Muppet family.
