Chapter 1.

Clifford was beaming. He was hosting a successful show, and was on top of the world. Except, for one day......
Kermit and Clifford came to the studio early that day. But Kermit usually came in the earliest before anyone. The phone rang, and Kermit answered it.
"Hello, Muppets Tonight producer Kermit the Frog speaking. Uh huh, what? Oh no. Well, thank you." Kermit couldn't believe it. After pulling many strings and getting a new show on the air, it was canceled. Kermit sat down on a crate listed "Fragile", and just sighed. "What am I going to tell the others?", he wondered to himself.

"Yo yo yo Kerm! What's up my main frog? Gimme some flipper!" Clifford raised his hand for a high five, but Kermit didn't respond. "Kerm? What's wrong Kerm?" Kermit looked up at the suit and sunglasses clad Muppet. "Clifford, I'm afraid, that we're canceled." Clifford couldn't believe it. His one chance to prove that he belonged with the Muppets was over. But not just for him, but for all the Muppets, to prove that they still belonged on television was over. He sat down next to Kermit and took off his sunglasses. "Aw man. What are we going to do now?" Kermit's mind was elsewhere. He was thinking of how devistated everyone would be about this.

"Everyone, everyone please settle down. Please? Everyo.....QUIET!!!!" Kermit's yell silenced everyone in the meeting room. Except for Carl the big mean monster, who was busy swallowing Nigel the Director whole. "Carl, drop him." Carl spit out the fuzzy nosed green Muppet. "Hey! This was a new vest you overgrown...."
"Please! Now everyone, I have some bad news." Everyone started talking at once.
"Bad news?"
"Oh no!"
"Doesn't look good."
"BAD NEWS! BAD NEWS!"
"QUIET!!" Cliffords yell silenced everyone in the room. "Go ahead Kerm."
"Guys, Muppets Tonight has been officially canceled." Words couldn't describe the outrage and the sadness that was in the Muppets' voices.
"You're kidding!"
"Oh, Kermie no."
"CANCELED! CANCELLED!"
"Der shmorgie doo?"
"What are we going to do?"
A snowman that Fozzie befriended on one of the Muppets Christmas gatherings stood up and proclaimed, "I know what we should do!"
"What?" Kermit asked.
A musical intro began.
"Oh,
Let's build a snowman, we can make him our best friend!
We could call him Dexter, Bob or Joe or Fred.
We can make him tall, or we could make him not so tall.
Snowman!
He will have a happy face, happy smile, happy point of view,
if you build one for me, then I'll build one for you!"
Then, he jumped on the table and started tapdancing. How could he without feet or tapshoes, is a mystery.
"Oh snowman
snowman
SNOWMAN!!!!!!! Snowman!"

The meeting room was full of blank stares at the musically gifted snowman.
"Uh, let's not. Now guys, anybody have any ideas?"

excellent

That first chapter was excellent. Do you plan on having an explanation for why Seymour isn't around anymore?

To minor muppetz:
Why.........yes I do! But not yet.
Chapter 2

Kermit looked at the faces of his Muppet colleages. So many faces he has known for a long time, and many he just met. He couldn't shake the feeling that it was his fault this happened. They were silent for a little while, until Pepe spoke.
"Kermin, what are we going to do?"
Kermit looked into the eyes of the king prawn and responded sadly.
"I don't know, I just....don't......lets take a five minute break." With that, Kermit rushed out the door, leaving behind many confused Muppets.
"Kermie?"
Rowlf stood up. "I'll go talk to him."
Rowlf looked around for the depressed frog, until he found him sitting on the studio stage with his hands in his face.
"Kermit, could you tell me what this is about?"
Kermit looked up at Rowlf with tears in his eyes, but looked down again.
"We've been in situations like this before Kermit. We will bounce back."
Kermit sighed and responded,
"That was before. This is now. I mean, whenever we were in these situations, we had Jim to help us out of it. But now......" His voice began to crack. "I failed Jim, Rowlf. I failed him. I'll never forgive myself. All those Muppets in there are never going to find work again, and it is all my fault."
Rowlf began to get tears in his eyes as well. He very well couldn't say that everything was going to be all right. It was hard to tell. He put his hand on Kermit's back and said,
"No you didn't. You did everything you could. You did everything that Jim would've done. I'm proud of you Kermit. Not just me, but everybody in there is proud as well. You gave them a chance to shine, and by gum, they did."
Kermit smiled a little bit to Rowlf's remark. They both stood up and headed back to the meeting room.
"Hey Rowlf,"
"Yeah Kermit?"
"Thanks."
"Don't mention it. What are friends for?"
But as soon as they got back inside the meeting room, chaos was ensuing. A giant argument was taking place, Muppets were being thrown around the room by Sweetums and Doglion, and alot of shouting.
"This is your fault!"
"ME?!"
"Hey Pepe, we should..."
"Shut up hokay?!"
"Der mor der chicky!!"
"HI YAH!"
"HI I'M CARL!!"
[Gonzo being chucked across the room] "THIS IS SO COOOOOLL!!"
Kermit and Rowlf looked on in horror and slight interest. Clifford came over to them and said,
"Guys, this meeting is out of control! What are we going to do?"
Kermit looked at Rowlf, then at Clifford, then ducked a oncoming chicken.
"Good grief."

Chapter 3.

Kermit hopped onto the table and shouted at the top of his lungs,
"STOP!!! EVERYBODY CALM DOWN!!!!" All the Muppets froze. They stopped arguing, throwing and shouting. Bean Bunny, going against the laws of physics, was stuck in midair.
"Violence won't solve anything. Now everybody take a seat."
The Muppets agreed and did so.
"But Kermit," said Bean Bunny, "I can't."
"Uh, that's okay, just.....stay up there and listen. Now, does anybody have any suggestions of what we should do?"
The snowman stood up again.
"I know what we should do!!"
"If it is that stupid song again....."
"Oh,
Let's build a snowman,
we can make him our best friend!
We can name him Eugene....."
[Muppets] "SHUT UP!!!!"
"Sorry.." The snowman sat down again.
Fozzie patted him on the back. "It's alright, I get tough crowds too."
Rowlf raised his hand.
"Yes Rowlf?"
"What about the old theater? Let's do a show there."
Kermit didn't think of that. But nobody has been in that theater for ages.
"It's worth a shot Kermie," said Miss Piggy. "It's where we got our start, and maybe we can start over again."
With that, they agreed, and walked to the old theater. As they got there, they stood in front of it. The Muppet Show sign was missing a few letters, saying "he Mup ow."
Kermit smiled for the first time in hours. They were home again.

Good grief, it's a running gag, Oh and I love how, in all the hubbub Carl states his name, though it would have been funny if it was Stu.

Chapter 4

"Well guys, here we are. The place where it all started."
Kermit opened the door to a dark room, and finally found the lightswitch after stumbling in the dark a little.
It was just as they left it, except really dusty and unkept.
"We can fix it up, and it will be as good as new. Let's get to work."
The Muppets started to pick up things and dust off desks and such. As they were doing that, Kermit walked on the bare stage and looked into a empty audience. He gently whispered, "Ladies and Gentlemen, it's the Muppet show."
Pepe was dusting off the balcony, when he realized that his best friend, Seymour the elephant, wasn't anywhere to be found. Pepe went outside to look for him, and found Seymour standing on the sidewalk with a suitcase in his hand.
"Seymour, what are you doing hokay?"
The elephant sighed and looked at his best friend.
"I'm quitting show business."
"What?! Why hokay?"
"I'm moving to Florida. I found a nice little condo to live in."
"But Seymour, why?"
"I did what I wanted to do in show business, and that was to entertain people. Now, I am going to start a new chapter in my life."
"But Seymour," Pepe started getting tears in his eyes, "you have a family here. We love you hokay?"
The elephant smiled. "I love you guys too. But I need to do this. I need to find myself."
"I'll miss you Seymour."
"I'll miss you too Pepe."
With that, they gave each other a hug, and spoke their song together.
"I'm Seymour,"
"I'm Pepe,"
"We're two of a kind."
"I'm a little bit forward," Pepe started to cry.
"And I got a big...." Seymour started to cry as well, "Behind."
A big Taxi pulled up as they finished the song.
"Well, this is it."
"Take care of yourself, hokay."
"You too."
The elephant hopped into the taxi, and the taxi started to drive away.
Pepe stood on the sidewalk all alone, and started to sing a sad song.
"Saying Goodbye, why is it sad? Makes us remember the good times we had." He sadly walked back into the theater.
Inside the taxi, Seymour started to sing as well.
"Much more to say, foolish to try."
They sang together,
"It's time for saying goodbye."
