Chapter 1.
Clifford was beaming. He was hosting a successful show, and was on top of the world. Except, for one day......
Kermit and Clifford came to the studio early that day. But Kermit usually came in the earliest before anyone. The phone rang, and Kermit answered it.
"Hello, Muppets Tonight producer Kermit the Frog speaking. Uh huh, what? Oh no. Well, thank you." Kermit couldn't believe it. After pulling many strings and getting a new show on the air, it was canceled. Kermit sat down on a crate listed "Fragile", and just sighed. "What am I going to tell the others?", he wondered to himself.
"Yo yo yo Kerm! What's up my main frog? Gimme some flipper!" Clifford raised his hand for a high five, but Kermit didn't respond. "Kerm? What's wrong Kerm?" Kermit looked up at the suit and sunglasses clad Muppet. "Clifford, I'm afraid, that we're canceled." Clifford couldn't believe it. His one chance to prove that he belonged with the Muppets was over. But not just for him, but for all the Muppets, to prove that they still belonged on television was over. He sat down next to Kermit and took off his sunglasses. "Aw man. What are we going to do now?" Kermit's mind was elsewhere. He was thinking of how devistated everyone would be about this.
"Everyone, everyone please settle down. Please? Everyo.....QUIET!!!!" Kermit's yell silenced everyone in the meeting room. Except for Carl the big mean monster, who was busy swallowing Nigel the Director whole. "Carl, drop him." Carl spit out the fuzzy nosed green Muppet. "Hey! This was a new vest you overgrown...."
"Please! Now everyone, I have some bad news." Everyone started talking at once.
"Bad news?"
"Oh no!"
"Doesn't look good."
"BAD NEWS! BAD NEWS!"
"QUIET!!" Cliffords yell silenced everyone in the room. "Go ahead Kerm."
"Guys, Muppets Tonight has been officially canceled." Words couldn't describe the outrage and the sadness that was in the Muppets' voices.
"You're kidding!"
"Oh, Kermie no."
"CANCELED! CANCELLED!"
"Der shmorgie doo?"
"What are we going to do?"
A snowman that Fozzie befriended on one of the Muppets Christmas gatherings stood up and proclaimed, "I know what we should do!"
"What?" Kermit asked.
A musical intro began.
"Oh,
Let's build a snowman, we can make him our best friend!
We could call him Dexter, Bob or Joe or Fred.
We can make him tall, or we could make him not so tall.
Snowman!
He will have a happy face, happy smile, happy point of view,
if you build one for me, then I'll build one for you!"
Then, he jumped on the table and started tapdancing. How could he without feet or tapshoes, is a mystery.
"Oh snowman
snowman
SNOWMAN!!!!!!! Snowman!"
The meeting room was full of blank stares at the musically gifted snowman.
"Uh, let's not. Now guys, anybody have any ideas?"
